Bionic Commando: Rearmed (PC) speed run in

Күн бұрынThis was done on the Steam version of BC:R, so it plays similarly to the unpatched XBLA version from what I've heard. Also, ignore the stats screen at the end. I think it saved the stats from the previous save file, even though I started a new one. I'm not really sure how or why, but it's the only thing that makes sense.
I made a ton of mistakes in this run, mostly in area 3, area 10, and the escape from the Albatross. I got 7 gold splits in this run though, and really good luck from most of the bosses. I absolutely hate this game so I won't be playing it any more, but this time can easily come down another 20 seconds. My sum of best splits (perfect RNG and execution) is 34 seconds faster.
Big thanks to TheGreatGilderSneeze for buying this for me, and to BagtheTea and KennyMan666 for the support and some strats! Anti-shoutouts to the developers of this game for doing such a terrible job.

This was a damn fine speedrun! I appreciated the personality that came through as you were switching weapons to the beat and just generally being entertaining!

Haha, I wish I could have seen a livestream of this judging by your comments. I think I remember you mentioning you didn't like Rearmed before, but not to that extent. I admire your willingness to complete what you start, PJ. Good show!

Dude there's no way I could've streamed this. Hahahaha. Like, technical limitations aside, I would not be comfortable broadcasting that rage. This game is super bad. I had to finish though. I had come too far. This run still sucks, but it is at least good enough for me to end on.

Nah, ReArmed is great, it's Bionic Commando 2009 that's awful.

@@supersaiyaman11589 The physics are just generally broken, the controls/mechanics are clunky and unresponsive compared to the other BioCom games, the boss design is tedious and the mechanics sometimes break, the difficulties are poorly conceived, the music lost all the energy that the original tracks had, the graphics are weirdly blurry (compare some of the backgrounds of these levels to the backgrounds of the NES game; this has just generic blurry bright orange and NES has details and reasonable contrast), it's really unstable and crashes all the time, and it literally maxes out my CPU and GPU to run the menu at 900 fps.
