That was a fun breakdown! Lots of interesting bits of trivia, especially with how certain designs and masks are depicted in relation to canon. You know, for being classified as a legendary mask, it sure seems like the mask of time is only good for slightly slowing down time and then being immediately discarded XD

honestly I've just gotten to the point where I just assume Kanohi masks can look like whatever and it depends on what they're made of rather than how they're shaped

Officially masks can look any shape, it's just convention. Even then it's still odd that Lhikan's Hau spontaneously changes shape on Jaller.

Maybe Lhikan's Hau's shape is linked to his Toa powers somehow and being worn by a Matoran caused it to return to its original shape for some reason?

Yeah, that’s how it works canonically. They’re only made in a very standard shape most often to make it clearer which mask is which to the Matoran Universe inhabitants. I don’t see how shape should to would affect anything, anyway, as it is the disks me their combinations that determine the powers. At least on Metru Nui. Outside of Metru Nui masks are not always made of Kanoka disks, but we sadly don’t know how people make masks there. Perhaps they make them in a very similar way, just bypassing the need for disks but finding a way to make the same material the disks are made of?

So it was clear later on that the Toa Mata were created a LONG time ago and kept hidden from the rest of the world, but the Toa Metru use their power to make toa stones to summon the toa meaning that they would have already had knowledge of them previously, unless they were just banking on some random group of Toa getting the message and showing up.

It seems like the Metru were aware of the legend of the Toa Mata, but made their Toa Stones as a general backup. It's awfully-convenient they they are to act as backup beacons for Toa Canisters!

One thing that wasn’t mentioned in this video is that the canonical form of Makuta during the events of Legends of Metru Nui is not depicted in the movie. His canon appearance is the combiner model Ultimate Dume which is referenced in Time Trap when the Shadowed One notices that Makuta’s form is a fusion of Nidhiki, Krekka and Nivawk.

This movie is the only Bionicle media to Depict a Noble Hau. It may be stylized as a movie mask and as a regional variant. But It is to my knowledge the Only media of a noble hau. So Take this information with a grain of salt

I believe the movie design was pinned down first, and then the designers translated that into a more feasible product later on (and sorry for the delay!)

@@TammyCalamity So in other words, the movie design proved unbuildable with current pieces, so they made their own so they wouldn't have to make very many new pieces aside from the mask of shadows. (And no problem sexy girl.😘)
