BIONICLE: The Legend of Mata Nui - Level 1: Onua (Rebuilt v1.0.1)

A showcase/walkthrough of Onua's level in BIONICLE: The Legend of Mata Nui REBUILT. Partially as a showcase for those interested in trying it out, but also as a walkthrough for those who find themselves stuck at one point or another.
This video additionally showcases version 1.0.1 of Rebuilt, which in terms of this level encompasses only means that the mask tutorial sign is present in front of the apparently infamous digging wall.
I do go out of my way to showcase all the dialogue, which contributes to the video's length. Considering I wrote a good 80% of it for this level, I feel like showing it off. ;)

I love the rolling part because it is so cool, too! Lol! I thought about the Bohrok, but he would be confused to be a black Bohrok called a Nuvohk. Lol.😂

Saw a reddit post about the alpha build so I thought I'd do one for the rebuilt version. Non-set Matoran Colors (Onu-Koro) 13:42 Onepu (Existing set) 13:56 Taipu (Purist) 14:16 Tehutti (Purist) 14:27 Nuparu (Boxor set) 14:53 Purple Kaukau, black torso, purple feet (Not purist, requires paint or other alternative) 15:12 Kaj (Not purist, requires paint or other alternative) 15:21 Damek (Not purist, requires paint or other alternative) 15:36 Azibo (Purist) 15:57 Black Pakari, black torso, black feet (Purist) 16:11 Black Mahiki, tan torso, black feet (Not purist, requires paint or other alternative) 16:19 Aiyetoro (Purist) 16:28 Orange Komau, tan torso, grey feet (Purist; feet appears lighter than black; Not Dosne, he has black feet) 17:20 Purple Rau, black torso, purple feet ((Not purist, requires paint or other alternative; Not Akamu, he has black feet) 18:47 Zemya (Purist) 19:20 Nobua (Not purist, requires paint or other alternative) There are also some Matoran seen wearing orange kanohi with a black torso and black feet in a cutscene; they are purist. I watched all six of your videos about Bionicle: The Legend of Mata Nui Rebuilt. I love the gameplay! Plus, the graphics are very good! They're much better than the graphics from the alpha and beta versions! Impressive! Also, I can see why Vatuka-Nui is replaced with a different name for the Earth Elemental. Vatuka is about Stone, which is different from Earth, so it makes sense. I'm glad that The Beaverhouse and Litestone Studios are gooding the game a lot good! :D Anyway, I know that you guys are updating the game with some missing stuff. I heard that there was supposed to be Ussal, according to the files for the game, and they are Onu-Koro Rahi, but they are not there. Are you guys going to add those creatures? They're crabs. I looked up BioSector01, so that's why I asked.

Sorry for the late reply. Ussal are indeed unused in the game's files, and we're planning on putting them into Ono-Koro in a later patch. Thanks for the kind words, and I hope you keep enjoying the game as we add more content!

If you're stuck at 36:17, make sure to destroy both nests and pacify both Rahi in that room. Door should open afterwards!

@@noctellauwu yeah, i know, it is :( recently i reached gali's level, and theres a part with the hook where you have to copy exactly the same moves in the video or else you wont get up there! smh -.-

How do you activate the Earthquake Glyph? Also, awesome to see all those Tohunga in Onu-Koro, as there are absolutely none in the game when I play...

When I was a kid, I sometimes imagined the Toa performing on stage like a band. Onua was the drummer, being the strongest one. Now I'm watching this and see that apparently, already the original developers back in the day thought it was a great idea to have these mighty and brave warriors called Toa do some stupid dancing 😂...

Well, one of the old promo CD's had three songs on it that were directly credited to Gali, Kopaka, and Lewa, so apparently they totally make music! So they might very well have had a band together, lol

I never liked Onua's arrival as much as Pohatu's arrival animation, I know they were done by different people but I always preferred how Pohatu's arrival depicted the toa as being semi organic, with lungs and muscle tissue, etc and just the way Pohatu puts himself together felt more lifelike than how Onua just builds himself up like a lego set, which is ironic coz they are lego sets but still, it's more believable to see their individual parts coming back to life and their veins and muscles filling in as they put themselves back together

The pohatu one was fan made. I'm not sure whether or not the guys who made this one even knew the toa were semi organic.

It is implied that the reason the Toa are in parts when they emerge is because there Tissue decayed in stasis...but thankfully ther power quickly regenerated there muscle and organs upon awakening

Is there any way to adjust the window size? Every time I try to make it bigger, it doesn’t work. The most I’ve been able to do is change the size of the hud.

Who is this Nobua character? Surprised there’s no official mention of him in BIONICLE G1.

He was a character created within the game, within the alpha when he met Onua after the latter reconstructed himself after the canister brought him to the island.

This game was actually never officially released. However, alpha and beta builds of the game were discovered a few years ago and people have been working on finishing the game. You can download the game from Biomedia Project biomediaproject.com/bmp/the-legend-of-mata-nui/

How do you open the door at 36:17 ? I destroyed the nest and beat the bug and the bat and nothing is happening :/ I am playing on the rebuilt version, it seems like other people are also having this issue, what are we doing wrong?

This door wont open i’ve killed the bug but it just keep circling me. Do i have to kill the bug to get the door to open? Or is their a button i need to press? 36:17

I was stuck here too. If you destroy both nests and pacify both of the Rahi in that room the door will open. Hope this helps :>

For Rebuilt that name has been moved to Pohatu's boss, since "Vatuka" translates to "rock thing."

@@robot54312 I figured it out like 5 minutes after posting that. Thank you anyway! It's a shame that there isn't a document detailing the controls (not that I can find) and the game doesn't do the best job of explaining them. I'm on the second level and the game isn't too bad so far
