I can't believe I only now played these masterpieces. But when they came out I was a dumb little shit and concepts like parallel universes and different political systems weren't something I could understand. Also Infinite was so ahead of its time (visually) that it looks like it hasn't aged a day. It is rare to get a game that has it all done properly: narrative, characters, graphics, soundtrack, gameplay and technicality. One of the most memorable games for me.

Very surprised this does not have more views. This is super in depth and any Bioshock fan should watch it. I love Bioshock and beat all 3 games, but I went to college when the first came out and that meant I did not have as much time to play it so I started and then stopped for awhile before I was able to come back. If I could have finished it faster, I bet I would hold it in even higher regard.

Rapture was interesting but Columbia triggers a much stronger feeling of nostalgia. I was hypnotized by it and when I got to the end I was furious. It may have made sense that I couldn’t figure out but I immediately interpret time travel and dimensions in storytelling as a hack device. Once you invoke endless possibilities can’t you make anything make sense? It almost tanked the entire experience for me which is a shame because it was top three most intense video game experiences I’ve ever had alongside Inside and Walking Dead season 1

but if booker chose to let himself drown to stop comestock from coming into existence then wouldn't that mean that ana which later on became Elizabeth wouldn't exist as well because how their would be a timeline where booker and Elizabeth or should I say ana live happily ever after when he got drowned by Elizabeth to stop comestock from existing or do you mean he fathered ana before the battle of wounded knee and only the bookers who fought the battle got depressed after it and then took the baptisim died?

This is probably the best comment on this video. Bioshock Infinite's plot is heavily based on the multiverse theory so this means that there are infinite states that Booker can exist in. The 'smothering in the crib' / drowning of Booker following the wounded knee event is only getting rid of all Booker's that got to that option / wounded knee point in time. So its not a whole eradication of all Booker's in all universes but only the Bookers that get to that point in time where an option is made between the two. Try to imagine infinite numbers of interlinking points and imagine there was one sub branch going down the comstock / booker parallel. What Elizabeth did after being omnipresent was to cut off that branch effectively getting rid of herself in the process (but for one). Ana was born after Booker denies the baptism so you would have been right if Booker resigning to his fate got rid of all Bookers but it didnt (as that would be a paradox). So its not every Booker DeWitt or existences of him that is eliminated but the timeline in which a Comstock / Booker option can take place. That being said there prolly was a universe / time line or existence where Booker is indeed happily ever after with Ana - but we do not know as the outtro fades to dark for us to find out. When a fan tweeted at Ken Levine to give answers on this bit he simply said "Have you not read about the cat" alluding to Schordingers Cat - which makes the ending more indeterminate, Ana could be there and equally could not.... we can only find out by looking in the crib BUT ITS HARD WHEN THE FUCKING SCENE FADES TO DARK! :(

thank you so much for answering this but isn't ana was born before he took the baptism because if she was born after the baptism then he wont need to take ana from the booker who didn't take the baptism but how did that last Comstock escape for the last Elizabeth to keep existing and why did the big daddy attack her and did Elizabeth teleport her conscience to another timeline so when she tried to go back to the timeline where she got killed by the big daddy and the luteces told her you shouldn't be in a timeline where you don't belong and that you would lose all your powers and be normal/mortal could you explain this line more clearly its from you ((Ana was born after Booker denies the baptism so you would have been right if Booker resigning to his fate got rid of all Bookers but it didnt (as that would be a paradox).))

What about 2? It is a bioshock game, it didn’t have Levine, but it had many other people who worked on 1. Bioshock doesn’t need Levine to be bioshock, slipping 2 because of that is stupid. At the very least pretend he made it. It shouldn’t matter if he made it or not it still counts.

It’s a great game but Ken (the creator) wasn’t involved in development. So for me it doesn’t feel like a sequel with integrity.

the ending of infinite reminds me of 'all you zombies' short story by Robert A. Heinlein. I love Ken Revine and am sure if he were writing a novel Elizabeth would have been her own character and her ending would have been sacrificial, but to me, you are playing booker because of the pinky, therefore anna, eliz, comstock, booker, and the pinky are all the same thing. Check out the short story and hit me back its an interesting discussion. Google the title and author. It's free to read, or hit up the wiki. Here's how inifnite fits with all you zombies: Pinky = intersex change Booker = unmarried mother comstock(sterile) = bartender anna = baby elizabeth = orphan let me know what you think about this.

basically what im saying is that Ken is Hideo Kojima. hahaha. on the serious, you miss elizabeth because you miss yourself. just like at the end of all you zombies: I know where I came from-but where did all you zombies come from?(choices don't matter in a closed loop) I felt a headache coming on, but a headache powder is one thing I do not take. I did once-and you all went away(end of loop). So I crawled into bed and whistled out the light.(drowning) You aren’t really there at all. There isn’t anybody but me-Jane-here alone in the dark.(elizabeth or orphan) I miss you dreadfully!(you miss yourself, man.)

too meta maybe. I gotta stop drinking coffee. later dude. thanks for the sweet content. really rocked my brain. And Ken Revine is secretly Kojima if any of the above is true.

I came in bioshock infinite and i think that's a greate game, but i still think orginal bioshock is best! Why? in infinite i wasn't affraid because i didn't feel alone, Cus elisabeth... in orginal i was alone, and i think simulary like Andew Ryan, And in that game you are bad one and not even realizing it.
