This birdie pocket magnet is super cute and easy to make. It also doubles as a planter for a small air fern. This is a great project to do yourself or with the kiddos!

Try dipping or brush 3 coats of the Georgies tie dye glazes next time for probably better results. We never brush less than 3 coats of tidal pool because you need it thick to pull out the yellow brown and green colors that will move and swirl super cool when it's thick enough. I prefer how it looks when dipped on mine. Try dipping it on a tall cylinder, and it does crawl so careful with getting it close to the base. Also, it gets *less* pretty when it pools on flat surfaces like plates. 😉 Thanks for this super cute tutorial, going to try it! 😍

May I suggest rare earth magnets. I believe several hardware stores do carry them, but I know for certain Lee Valley carries them.

I have a question, maybe not regarding this video but clay mugs in general. Do you need to apply some sealing component to a mug before use it to drink hot beverages? or it is ok and safe to use it after it completely dries?

Pottery clay is not just dried. it is dried, fired, glazed, then fired again.
