Fun scifi fact: Fremen, the native people of planet Arrakis from Frank Herbert's Dune sage, have a culture based on knives, the crysknife to be exact. When a Fremen child comes of age, he or she earns his or her crysknife through a very arduous coming of age ritual. The knife is made from a giant sandworm's tooth, which will decay over time unless it stays within contact the owner's electromagnetic field. The knife becomes a part of the person's soul and identity, and it must shed blood every time it is drawn. No outsider is allowed to posses a crysknife, and the penalty for such is death.

A little late to the party but I picked up the Carbon Fiber/silver with black blade a few days ago. It is way too beautiful to use as an EDC, so today I bought another in flamed Ti/silver with the non coated blade for a light day to day EDC carry. Great video you guys (3 years later lol).

@@haydn5198 I can't decide which color I like best. Lol I think I like the carbon fiber with either gray or bronze/ champagne but I also like the blue and the tiger stripe. Can't decide. I do like the black blade way better than the gray

I have triple x hands, trying on xx gloves and make a fist I can hear the glove seams tearing. It would make a nice gentleman knife no one would see me use it ,but is it useable for me? 🤔😎

I just picked up a Carbon Fiber/Champagne Arrakis this week to too keep his big bother company. Arrakis is way more usable due to the blade shape.. I wish the CF ones were available with satin blades.

Sold my Ti Eschaton last month. Miss it dearly. The Arrakis is cool, but it isn't half as elegant as the Eschaton.

It is so very hard to have a knife and firearm hobby. So many options and so little money. I would love to have something like that, but it gives me major sticker shock.

I have the grey frame/gold scales/dlc blade version of the Arrakis and it's a very functional knife. No hot spots with my medium-large hands. Get one if you like the way it looks and you won't be disappointed. If anyone likes sci-fi then go read Dune by Frank Herbert and you'll find that the name really fits this knife.

I love WE knives. My grey titanium/black G10 handle two tone satin/black blade WE Arsenal is one of my favorite knives. That said, I just don't like these WE knives at all. The design is so excessively intricate and over the top that it's more knife shaped art than an actual usable knife. Still a great review though, thank you!

I've owned my arrakis for I think a couple months now, and as much as I love it, the clip is the absolute worst part of it overall. I love the ergos, it fits my hand just beautifully (I definitely always choke up on it but it isn't necessary for it to be comfortable) and the blade is certainly useful. But oh my lord that pocket clip is just frustrating, why's it gotta be so hard to get in and out of the pocket?

Bird, re: SF. Easy to be a bit less enthused about SF these days. Too much of what is published is for the 'young adult' market and consists of low grade sequelized fantasy....
