You've got it spot on guys. If they don't want to play for the badge then get out of our club. They've already done enough damage getting us into this situation so to be honest there's not a single player in that squad that I would care if they walked right now. This next season it's time for us to knuckle down, take all the stick off rival fans and keep our heads up knowing that we will be back. I'm praying we can recruit some players that mirror the passion of our fans and our city and get us back on track sooner rather than later. P.S Please keep your podcasts going somehow over the summer, you've become a part of my daily listening while working 😆

Thanks for commenting, we really appreciate it :) Agree with all the above and what really wound us both up was the arrogance of underperforming players who might come out and request a transfer etc. I 100% want them to go every single time if they don't want to play for us but the arrogance and entitlement is ridiculous. Thanks for the kind words and we will be continuing to release content over the summer. It might not be as frequent with no matches but we will try out best to at least get a couple a week :) Thanks again, KRO!

All we as supporters need to do is to either renew our season tickets or get one! The club will the see we are there for them and it’s up to the players both old and new to do the business. Many will go, many will come in.. looking forward to the ride!! KRO!

Couldn't agree more, players who don't want to play in League 1 then let them go. Let's face it on this seasons performance there's not many who will come knocking on our door for them. There's truly a handful of them that any of us that want to keep. KRO

Cody Drameh one of the best RBs in England, has actually played 110 times with 4 goals & 22 assists there has lost out to Ethen Laird, who has under-perfomed in his place,👀 with 20 played at RB producing 0 goals & 0 assists!

Thank you for your comment. Both myself and Matt agreed that Cody Drameh was one of best performing players last season and we could not understand why he was dropped. I hope that he would still like to join us and I hope the club sign him permanently. In my opinion he is exactly the type of player we need. Imagine how good he could be with a decent team around him. KRO

Totally agree with the Mr Mowbray situation , the transfer window is only a couple of weeks away and we need clarity If Tony is still recovering who will be making the decisions as there is loads to sort out on the playing side , also the backroom staff , is Venus coming back Anyway i hope hes back in charge soon KRO

I believe this is the best thing that's happened in the last 10 years or so ...combined with our new ownership and the 62k sports quarter..I'm buzzing for it ..re build and come back better ,I'm getting 5 season tickets and I've not had a season ticket for some years now

Thanks, Mark :) With 5 season tickets, you'll really be able to stretch out or have a nap at half time 😂 All jokes aside we are looking forward to next season now too. I didn't realise the transfer market doesn't open until the 14th of June. I was hoping to start getting players in a little early but hey ho, good things come to those who wait. I have no doubt the rumour mill will really ramp up on X soon. That always keeps me entertained. Apparently, we were interested in Mbappe but he didn't want to play in our reserves so probably heading over to Madrid. Very best, KRO!

Unfortunately the players have Parasite Agents looking to get them a move for Finacial gain for Both Parties .. Games gone to Mush KRO and Onwards and Upwards

As you say, let's keep it simple from the fan's perspective, if you don't want to play for this brilliant club and show some passion for the badge then pack your bags and go. I definitely want to see the back of half of these players. They should be held accountable. Get some passionate players in who respect the badge and want to fight. Bin the deadwood off. Thank you for your comment Catherine. We have a great opportunity this summer to start building a squad we can all be proud of. Let's hope we can get players in who have the right character as well as ability. I appreciate what Steve Bruce did for us, taking us into the Premier League however I believe his defensive style and lack of goals also got us relegated. As we move forward I do not think that he would be the right type of manager. In any event I am hoping that Tony Mowray will come back when he is well. KRO

100%agree with you and they have the nerve to not turn up to the award event ,like most of them didnt up most of matches so we should not be surprised at all if they dnt want to play in division 1 see u we dnt want them or need them and can we stop going on about the manager lets just wait and see the real world not the bs people like to chat

Thanks for commenting, we always appreciate it :) It's hardly surprising some of them didn't turn up isn't it with their attitude this season. Almost like the cherry on top in some regards. I think blues fans respect the situation with Tony Mowbray and wish him nothing but a speedy recovery and he will hopefully return when his health can allow him. I think it's a communication thing more than anything. With arguably the biggest summer of our lives coming up it would be nice to hear something in regards to timeline. With a whole re-build on the cards we need to hit the ground running in the coming weeks. Thanks again, KRO! :)

l agree totally that we need to get the TM situation sorted asap,-we are in a different situation from most other clubs that we have almost got to put a whole new squad together over the next couple of months,-and one that will make a challenge for promotion,and thats not easy,-his health is the important thing,and that has to be decided first,and we all wish him well,-good podcast as always KRO.

We were getting irritated over the possible arrogance from players that got us into this mess however, absolutely, I would like to see the back off most of last season's players. Nowhere near enough desire, League 1 teams would boot them all over the park. Might not be the greatest technically but what they will do is fight you for 90+ minutes. Very best, KRO!

Love your videos, gents! unless I'm completely wrong, the club put out a statement that Tony is our manager and will be this coming season. So unless things change, why would they release another statement that reads the same? If things change, it will be to state a change, and we can just hope that isn't the case.

Thanks for commenting Aaron and for the kind words as well :) From memory the statement did say that TM was still the first team manager but didn't give a commitment on when or if he would be back. They will confirm all this if TM get's the all clear I'm sure. If the club is to confirm he is 100% "coming back" we would be ecstatic with that. I personally hope he is recovering well and is able to come back as he is the PERFECT man to be in the driving seat for next season. Very best, KRO!

Sadly, too many of these players don’t have the fighting spirit that’s required to play for Blues, so I don’t expect many to hang around in L1. Agreed that if they don’t want to be here then they should leave cos we only want 100% effort. Also, agreed about Mowbray - hope he’s back, but whatever happens we need clarity asap. KRO

Love the positivity. Well I'm a west midlander who saw Cov raise the FA cup in 87 as a 6yo lol. But all the best. I know other fans laid into you (Aston Villa...), I hope many of us didn't. We wish you well. We've been there. We were in League 2 in 2017 but just played an FA cup semi! A lot can change quickly. And with your owners it will. Thank you for your comment James. All of the kits we wear and those hung up are ones we bought over the years during the various seasons. They are from our own collection. The only retro kit we bought was the Triton Shower one which Matt treated me to as a birthday present last year. KRO

Matt SB on KZfaq has put out a video of the bookies odds for League One promotion. It is for the 22 known teams as the play offs for League One and League Two are still to be settled but Birmingham are the favourites to win the league. Like you said on your previous video, Leeds, Sunderland and Portsmouth have spent years in League One but Birmingham have good owners and a good manager in Tony Mowbray. All you need now are the right players, which should be sorted over the Summer break. Then I would agree that you should be favourites. Lets see what happens.

If you are in league 1 then that is the standard that you play at. Certain players got us into this position by not showing they deserve to be in the Championship. Reep what you sow.KRO

Thank you for your comment. The club should release the retaining list shortly so we will know who is staying and who is going. I’m my opinion I don’t think all of the contracted players will be safe either as some may be sold. An interesting summer ahead that is for sure. KRO

Too good for league one ! From what I’ve seen of them this season, I would argue many of them aren’t good enough for league one ! This club will be far more successful in 5 years time than any of the players.

Thank you for your comment Adrian. Interesting myself and Matt were discussing our young players recently and we think there are a number that could get more opportunities in League One. There has to be a balance though as they need to learn alongside more experienced players. We are all for bringing a few of them through at the right time and I do think we will see more of them in the first team in League One. KRO

There are very few of the current squad who I would want to keep. Sunjic , Miyoshi and another season for Jukey if they are willing. Other than that I would not try to keep any of them. They were mostly journeymen players who had played for many different clubs and didn't really care much who they played for and I think that showed in the majority of their performances. As you said our star player who I cannot fault was Jay Stansfield. If the rest of them had his attitude and work rate I don't think we would have gone down. I see what you are saying about the players staying now we are in League 1, but to be honest I think a more or less complete rebuild is the way forward. By the way just read a story about Steve Bruce wanting the job, wondered if you had heard that

Thank you for your comment. There are so many deficiencies in our squad at the moment that re-building is going to be needed in all positions. Hopefully we will see some decent players with the right character coming into the club. Yes, I’ve heard the Steve Bruce rumour however I’m hoping Tony will be fit and well and returning to us soon. I have 2 young kids and a full-time job so adding the Euro's in would kill me off 😂 Appreciate the kind thoughts and request though. Good podcast. For me, any player tthat didnt attend the awatds cwrmony should be booted out the club. Unless there were extenuating circumstances that is completely unacceptable.

Thank you for your comment. You are right, a little of people will make us favourites however that doesn’t mean very much unless we actually win promotion. League One won’t be easy which is why we need to get our recruitment right. KRO

You don't do well in League 1 if you can't battle, and the majority of this season's team are not people you would want to be next to in the trenches. There aren't that many I'd want to keep. The advantage is that we will have more money than our rivals, and will be a bigger draw for players than most teams we are up against. Last time we were at this level it was a lot of fun, so let's enjoy it whatever.

Thank you for your comment Geoff. We only want players who will fight for the shirt and any that don’t want to I’m sure will be moved on. If we can’t sell them then as you point out they should be put into the reserves. I’m hoping Tony Mowbray will be able to re-join us soon, however, in any event I don’t think that Steve Bruce’s defensive style of play is what the club are looking for. Not for me either. KRO

Thank you for your comment Robert. We are really pleased you enjoy our podcast. I’m hopeful that Tony will be returning soon. With medical issues the club must be respectful to Tony and only allow him to return when he is fully ready. I’m sure that it is all it is and hopefully he will be fit and well soon. KRO

Thanks for commenting David, greatly appreciated. Even QPR fans were laughing in the build-up to the big game at their place. Why did we have 4 rejects in our team that displayed bad attitudes during their time there as well? I think the recruitment certainly has a lot to answer for in that regard! Very best, KRO!

i think players dont want to play in the lower leagues because they are worried they will be "outed" as shown as a bad player or not even good enough for league 1 and further hurt themselves financially and otherwise. The confident good players know they will kick ass there and move back up. So for management, i think this makes it an easy "lie detector test" to decide on who stays and who goes by how they answer this question. Simple interview "Do you want to play for us in League 1?" Yes.. goes in consider pile, no ..bye bye and hope you can sell high....

Thank you for your comment. I agree and as said in the podcast, we only want players to stay who really want to play for our great club. I think the club will move a lot of players on this summer even some of the contracted ones which will give a great opportunity to get some ‘hungry’ players in who have the right mindset to compete in League One. Thanks for commenting Chris, we always appreciated it. Yeah, this is fair and valid point that I do think most of us appreciate. It is certainly going to take a bit of time for a new team to gel with such an overhaul on the cards. I can't speak for every fan here but I personally would rather have things start slightly slower to allow more time to gel with a new team then continue with this lot. It's just as a fanbase we were so sick of the lack of desire and passion shown by our players they will get annihilated down in League 1 with the physicality. Thanks again, KRO!

The clubs will be the first to try and change contracts with players on high wages,..many will stay as their value has fallen and nobody will pay Birmingham the money they would seek for anyone,unless they buy the player out of his contract,...And to get better players to drop down to division one for hopefully one season,will require high wages for such players to take a step down,..will the owner be putting millions up for new players?..£20 million can get you 5 decent players for division one, fee/wages for 2/3 seasons,....if Birmingham are not top of Division one after 10 games,it could be a long long season ahead..😮

Thank you for your comment. I made that clear in the podcast that I do not want players at our club that do not want to be there, but I also have an issue with players who want to leave because they think they are too good for League One. It just annoys me. KRO

My list of players to keep is very very short. I say this because I hear all this talk of relegation being the opportunity to have a proper clear out and reset, that it just makes sense to get rid of as much deadwood as possible. I don't want a single player who doesn't want to play for the club to remain which I appreciate is easier said than done for some players. Obviously, it's easy with the loan players and the players out of contract. It's time to be ruthless and say goodbye and good riddance to more than a few. I'm interested to know who you would genuinely keep if we could? The amount of players that need showing the door and therefore the amount of players that need bringing in, is a massive, massive job to get right and get the team up and playing. We can jazz it up as much as we want about how exciting it is, this rebuild is way more difficult and challenging in League One than it would've been in The Championship. KRO 💙

Thanks for commenting Richard :) Me too. I am personally thinking only 4/5 players that are worthy of the shirt (excluding younger / youth players): Bielik, Buchanen, Miyoshi, Jukey, maybe Sunjic? (With a pay cut) I would throw Ruddy in there as well but I think we need 2 younger keepers to come in during the summer. I think if we are going to do this properly we need a proper reset. It might take us a little slower to start the season to give players the time to gel and really find our feet but personally, I would take that if it means we get some grafters in and we start to re-spark that winning mentality. On the pitch we are in a rut and a reset is the only way to get out of it IMO. Thanks again, KRO!

Football is a job to the players, they train, play and get payed. Are only concern is who is under contract and if required accepting appropriate transfer fee compensation. I'm glad Wagner is there as our 2 previous ownerships would fire sale the squad, under his stewardship if players leave it will be by design. The most important thing now is who will be managing us to build the squad. I don't subscribe to to you saying to the players you put us in league 1 you need to get us up, the players weren't the ones who didn't buy a striker, the players weren't the one who released Kevin Long, they weren't the ones to pick Burke. It's a collective responsibility. Give me players who want to be there, if they don't then sell if we get our moneys worth.

Thank you for your comment. It fair to say that there were other factors that got us relegated and you mention some of them. However, after seeing all of the home games and a good chunk of away games I don't think that the players that were picked, with a few exceptions, did enough. They just did not seem to accept that we were in a scrap and the most disappointing thing was a general lack of desire. Silly mistakes, conceding late goals and not winning any games against teams around us is what really cost us and that is down to the players. Yes, other things did not help however when a player puts on a blues shirt and crosses that white line it has to be down to them. Thank you once again for your comment and KRO.

@@SmallHeathAllianceFC I agree with you 100% as a fan but unfortunately players live in a bubble that is different to a real world view, this is almost by design of the footballing world. Trying to place a moral burden on a modern player simply does not work. They play to instruction and believe the instructions are the cause of their issues. Psychology is one of the most important factors in the current game and this is what Eustace and Uncle Tone are exceptional at and why they get a better performance out of players. Rowett's world is based on order and structure and hence why we struggled when we had to actually create open play oppurtunies. Our win vs Coventry was based on destruction and pressing against Coventrys attacking intent. Hell look at the Norwich game, when Norwich had no attacking intent from the starting whistle it confused the hell out of the Blues players as they were instructed to keep shape and the notion of pressing higher up left them in no mands lad, they couldn't decide whether to stick or twist. Rooney was just bat sh*t mental having us in a 532 in possession.
