And now in February 2024, the mighty Ruffatti-Bish pipe organ is restored to its full and former glory! The re-dedication concert was magnificent!

Wonderful news to hear. My mom and i have sung with many choirs in many cathedrals. And to many pipe organs. And their is NOTHING like hearing one fully opened up. It quite literally sends goosebumps up and down your arms.

Our grandson recently graduated from Westminster Academy in this beautiful church. The organ is breathtakingly beautiful and the music it produces is just wonderful. It was so well played you’d never know there was a problem. Certainly a worthy project!

The organ is a confused heap of junk in a hideous building inhabited by even more hideous people using it for a repugnant bigoted ministry.

[# 7400] _Seven thousand pipes..._ -- yes, that is monumental indeed! I fully agree that this absolute treasure has to be maintained at any cost, so this message to the world was the best to be done! Unfortunately, my actual situaton doesn't allow me to donate; but to give at least a very small support, I have put this video at the first position of my public playlist [ S₂ ] which I have dedicated to the marvellous interpretations by Diane Bish, to express my highest admiration! And I pray that there will be enough organ friends world- wide who help to raise the 2nd half of the sum needed, that the work can be started as soon as possible. May God be with you all! Cruise on over to Coral Ridge's KZfaq channel and listen to a hymn or an organ postlude. Then try to find one of Diane's renditions on this channel of the same song and arrangement. (Dance of the Trumpets by Diane was the postlude last Sunday.) Even accounting for the stated failed state of the organ, live service v. controlled recording, I have to wonder if Coral Ridge knows how to properly mic the organ for its weekly broadcasts. It sounds dry and strident compared to the normal recordings found on this channel. It is hoped that as part of this restoration, consideration is given to my observation.

Good luck with your fund raising.. I support the church I go to and any needed restorations within that church. I am confident with the viewership and the congregants of this church.. you should have no issue to eventually raise all the needed funds for this restoration.

If they work on one chest at at time, it could still be playable throughout the process. Not sure what needs to be done to the manuals.

Great to hear! Who is doing the restoration work?
@shaneduyvenedewit86214 ай бұрын
The builders of the organ, Fratelli Ruffatti in Padua, Italy, have recently completed the full restoration of the instrument. A major amount of it was dismantled and shipped back to Italy for restoration, then returned and reinstalled.

Unfortunate that the sound of this instrument is enough to 'make your ears bleed'. Perhaps a 'restoration' could include a proper revoicing???

Have you heard it in person? I have and I don't find it overly harsh. It may just be a result of the recording process.

Is Diane a male? Emeritus is a male form. Here Emerita is the correct form. Disrespectful.

That or it's just a gender neutral term. Kind of like "actor" now refers to both sexes.

@@richardharrold9736 No it is not. It is a latin word that has separate endings for male and female.

@@richardharrold9736 Ok, but then it should Emeritum which is the neuter form.
@richardharrold97362 жыл бұрын
@@blomman43 in English parlance, it is more usual for the male form to be adopted as a catch-all gender-neutral term. Whatever, it doesn't matter. There are far bigger things to worry about where Coral Ridge is concerned, like the fact Southern Poverty Law Center has listed them as a bigoted hate group along with the likes of the KKK.

+bishfan *The Fratelli Ruffatti V+P/87 designed into the Sanctuary of Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church PCA* (5555 North Federal Highway, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33308-3208 USA) *is overkill for OMS Japanese Christian, for which I envision pipes voiced on Baroque-Rococo-Neoclassical wind pressures.* Shinoda Hall is where I intend to debug the tones for the pipes in a future Sanctuary organ; Allen Organ Company (Macungie, PA, USA) has an unbroken string of firsts in electronic music, therefore is best qualified to build a digital instrument which will treble as a phased-array PA system and a Dolby Atmos playback system. The future Sanctuary should have a full-mechanical organ integrated into the structure: _Hovedværk,_ _Fjernværk,_ and _Pedål_ I plan to be integrated into the roof; _Bryſtværk,_ into the north wall behind the Baptistry; and _Rygpoſıtiv,_ into the twin pulpits.
@richardharrold97362 жыл бұрын
A neo-baroque mechanical organ cannot have remote divisions as you describe. Quite how you would intend to combine it with an Allen toaster is beyond me. Nor would such an instrument be capable of supporting the musical life of a church as large as this one.
