thats the thing I was wondering how the balance/top weight was with the way the battery sits atop the rca but I think you're right they'll probably make it where it looks more like one piece down the road like the flux or exo

Would you still recommend the fk irons xion pen? Or should I get the flux?

@@andrewplaisance8282 depends on your style..I Have both,I use my Flux with 4.0 stroke for Color and packing Blacks and I use my Xion Pen with the 3.2 Cam on it for my Smooth black and Grays but if you get use to the Flux you can shade with it also

hey. I would probably go for bishop Packer, it would be more powerful than 3,5 solnova. And should be good for any lines. I do work mostly with bishop shader, and it does work good for fine lines and is smooth, but I think it's about same like solnova 3.5. if you want something little more puncher - packer would be good! it's also smaller size (more like solnova) compare to Unlimited.

Hey, I probably not going to make EXO review. But from what I feel compare to other wireless machines - performance wise it would be about the same machine. between the same stroke (small/medium/long) machine for both then I would probably choose PowerWand over the EXO, it's about 2 years newer machine, I think the finish is just better including full voltage readouts. About batteries, I think critical is better quality as a brand as they have been specialising in tattoo power supplies for 10+ years. from what I've heard - there been many reports of FK packs malfunction after all the firmware updates and connection them to apps etc.. Not sure if it's still a case or all fixed, but i guess if it works good it gives more options with connection to app , readouts, digital give etc.. (but how practical all that is I'm not able to comment) Critical pack has only bluetooth option for now to connect with pedal.

But it's possible it has a little slight one, if other people says it is - ''brushed'' then I would believe them more then me hehe... I cannot tell that well. Compered to Stigma force - This is definitely more solid / durable feel to it. More Ergonomic and easier to hand. As for a hit - from what I can remember it's similar, but Bishop seams to be more smoother overall.

I have a Shader and It feels like a Machine with a Give, you can also hear it when it touch the skin. Anyway great machine!

it all depends on your technique. there's a possibility to damage the skin, but also it could be really good and fast colour packer. I'm sure there's people who can even do soft black and gray with liner machine. so all just depends on what you prefer. Best advice would be to try on some friend or existing customers to colour some areas with it , and maybe other areas with different machine (that you think is better) and then check how it looks when they come back.

I have used ultron2 model. To be honest I didn't felt crazy difference from the previous model, little more powerful, but nothing mindblowing to me... to keep coming back to it. Saying that , I had a ultron2 test model that was more than 2 years ago. It's high possibility that there has been many changes/upgrades in the function and it's completely different machine now. Those large heavy grips are awesome tho! and I haven't tried powerbox5.

Yes, I believe so. There's a thread that you can unscrew and open it to clean the rod. But I only tried it on one machine, wasn't sure if that's somehting what should or shouldn't happen. So didn't wanted to open all of them.

Yeah if you already have it , no point buying this combo version.

I think both would be good as all rounder machine. I used Flux allot and it was good. I have never tried to connect it to apps and all the firmware ,but I heard that many artists had allot of problems with it draining the battery and messing up somehting. so I'm not too sure if that's still an issue or not. and if you're even looking for all those digital gives and app adjustments / connections. IF not then it's good! Power wand is definitely easier to work with. lighter/more ergonomic and together with Eikon battery (what I think is much better quality then any others out there) As it goes for black ang gray work I think it might be a little easier to achieve it with - Flux. Lines and solid packing would be a bit easier with Wand.

Mostly I use full size battery as it lasts easy 8+ hours. it's better for me as it's all has covered, I don't need to mess around with changing batteries and can do full day tattoo. Weight wise it's not too crazy difference. Of course smaller one is more comfortable / ergonomic and easier to use, but lasts around 4 hours, so I have to change it anyways. Performance wise both exactly the same, great steady power!

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it will work with any rca battery. but I haven't tried it myself.

I'm not sure if there will be option with 2 same batteries. I think that's why all this is included in the kit , all different options.

I'm sure there should be some guidance online about magi machines and their stroke. I haven't used them to help you.

I think solnova unlimited 4.0.mm might be too heavy for black and gray and small lines. and I don't think there will be that much of a difference in performance then 3.5 mm. If you feel that you need second machine - I would probably go for one of the wand machines - shader will be softer, (I think even softer then sol nova unlimited) That could be good for you to achieve even smoother black and gray. but you can also get shader wand, that's going to be much faster for lining , and also for solid blacks would be good! smooth shading however will be harder to achieve with that one.

I sold my nova unlimited 3.5 for a wand packer. That thing does everything. Smooth b&g. Pepper shading. Thin and bold lines. It’s the best allrounder machine i’ve found so far.

@@JOKE485 i would not want to sell my 3.5 i tried a lot of machines and the sol nova unlimited is my favorit so far. I am torn between fk irons exo 3.2mm and bishop wand shader 3.5mm. Exo has a much stronger motor. And i am a bit worried it might be too much for layering. Bit if the sol nova 3.5 and the wand shader are basically the same machine i dont really want that.

@@aceadam1828 The sol nova unlimited is certainly your go to machine for smooth B&G. The bishop packer is sorta the same but has a different motor and battery, in my opinion the bishop shader is better just because I can see the voltage adjustment, it weights less, is smaller and especially the new power wands they have, have a lot more battery capacity and is just more efficient to clean and wrap imo aswell.

Thankyou. I'm not sure as I've never had Bishop before, but It's really soft, it would surprise me if it's louder. of course all depends on voltage and cartridge.

compare to Unlimited 3.5 - I think this Bishop shader is more softer and more precise for smaller lines (like 1-5 liners) With bishop i'm a bit slower, but work is smoother. But I mostly still use Cheyenne as I'm more used to it, I like the punch. My work is a bit heavier hitting in some areas lining. If you're happy with your machine I don't think there will be mega upgrade , but if you want somehting more softer like (Cheyenne spirit) then Bishop shader is cool Hope that helps.

The older Wand will not work with this one, but will work with any RCA powerpack. Critical has also these type of packs RCA mode. larger and smaller ones with all the bluetooth etc - Critical Connect.

Would you say it's worth the investment? Or should I just stick with the old Bishop and just buy a regular critical powerpack? I'm really tired dealing with chords, i'm a pepper shading artist and b&g and it gets in my way so much it's fucks up my shading from time to time.

I don't , as I don't sell them. But if they are available there - I think it should be in bishop website.

I'm not sure on technical information - motor / weight / size etc... all that you can check and compare machines yourself. (all technical information is available in their websites) but to work with I think Sol Nova feels more quicker , sharper , punchier.. 3.5mm Wand is softer machine and smoother shades is easier to achieve. but some lining and solid black areas would be easier with Solnova. That will be both on around - 7-8V Of course on lower or higher voltages individually they might be around the same.

whichever works for you. everyone would have different preferences. I would recoment to start around 6.5 and slowly go up every 5-10 minutes or so. You should be able to tell when it's a good voltage for your technique , hand movement and speed.

yes, you can shade with it. you can check Bishop instagram for artists what uses their machines , I'm sure some of them using 4.2 for it. But I think if smooth shades is what you're looking to do - it will be easier to use 3.5

these will not work with old wand, (and I don't even know if you can get these ones separately) But Critical RCA batteries will work with previous wands. It's pretty much same batterie packs like these , just with different connection.

haha, I bet it is. I would probobly just keep sol nova... Bishop packer of course is awesome machine, and smaller/lighter then sol nova unlimited. + rca connection and few extras. Could be faster on lining with it too. but I think sol nova is a great machine too. so If I wouldn't have extra $ to spend, I would probably just keep that one. unless you are looking to get second machine or somehting little harder hitting.

800 each in Quebec so no, I got the liner and packer, its a great Investment for 1600$ cad

@@olivierbilodeau1952 you did not buy the power wand for 800 you bought the original for 800. The power wand costs roughly 1800cad and can only be bought through bishop currently so that being said you will have to add on a terrif tax once it comes into canada probably putting this machine bundle at about 2000$ cad. Bishop has recently started selling the powerwand with rca adapters making it cheaper now to own all 3 but still costing a hefty 4k most likely after all shipping and taxes paid into Canada. Currently no Canadian distributor is selling the powerwand I have spoken with 2 major suppliers in canada and they will eventually have them but not anytime soon. Hopefully in the future bishop will release all new machines with the custom critical battery fitting these machines have

I would say yes. Definitely on top 3 machines in my opinion. Simple, easy to use, reliable, works great and battery life is great too. Only downside that i can think of - all the additional grips out of stock always and almost impossible to get anywhere outside of US.

Yeah, agree price is cosmic. I do believe the quality is also much much better then any knockoff machines. With all the wireless setup / 2 batteries , chargers all the cables etc. I think it's ok price compare to other machines and if buying things separately. The battery packs is also powersuppluy / pedal / cable all in one. Tiny pack what delivers smooth power to your machine. I'm glad you're happy with your 85$ machine! I personally tried few of cheaper machines and wasn't the biggest fan to be honest. but of course I could work it. I guess same goes with everything. You can buy much cheaper replica shoes and walk around happily or you can buy originals that could be 5 times the price or even more. Whenever the preference and what makes you happy.

I don't think there's anything hidden. it's 3 machines. configurations are the same, the differences are in in Stroke. and you can pick which one suitable more for you. Technically you don't need 3 machines. That's why it is this way. You pick the one you would normally use, or the stroke you would prefer, that's just more easier way to explain - liner/shader or packer. But some people do lines with shader, some do packing with liners etc... so it all depends on your preferences. Tattooers should be familiar with all that before buying / investing in machines.
