f you want a day "chilling" with Metallica try S&M (Live concert here on YT) Years later they did and 2nd version also. Just you and you headphones or speaker system and enjoy. If you haven't already? You would love it 100% guarantee👍 It brings a whole new depth to Metallica and there songs and it fits very nice without loosing anything. Of course purist will never agree on this, but if you like musical performance it is a must to hear it at least once. Peace

Blackened is one of my favoutite songs and a wonderful opening song. I remember one concert when Blackened was the opener followed by battery. They played both songs without a break, it was awesome and exhausting.

The name is purely old west, making reference to how California (the goal of reaching the ocean) was fund by finding gold, the "ecstasy of gold"

Amazing. Love this live. I've seen them live 5 times and they are the best artist I've ever seen live. They always sound amazing and never too distorted, they have amazing crowd control, sweet ad libs and have the endurance for very long shows.

This is from the 2009 DVD Français pour une nuit = French for one night. It was filmed in the amphitheater in Nîmes. The Völkerball concert from Rammstein was also filmed there.

What a very cool venue for Metallica to perform at. Always love hearing "The Ecstasy of Gold" which is what the crowd was singing along with before the band came out. Absolutely love this song and loved your reaction to it. Looking forward to more Metallica reactions to come. ❤️🤘🎸

back in 2004, they opened up the show with Blackened and throughout the song something hadn't occurred to me, but everything was brightly lit with these bare light bulbs. It did that throughout the entire song until the last hit when flashbangs went off and then the lighting rig began descending from the top of the arena...it was like OKAY NOW THE SHOW CAN REALLY BEGIN! ugh!!! it was so magical!!!!

Such a cool venue to play in! I have seen Metallica live many times, but only in your typical stadiums/arenas. Nonetheless, they are masters of the stage. True musicians that know how to play the heck out of their instruments. Blackened has pretty poignant lyrics and a blatantly stark message - but is such a great song overall. Great reaction btw!

Love your reactions. All of them!!!!!! You get so exited that it makes me smile and laugh. Don't know if you know but Lovebites released another new m/V (Stand And Deliver). Your cheeks will hurt after watching this one. They are having so much fun!!!!!! Band Maid also released a new M/V (Memorable). It's a song they wrote for their fans. It was written while on the road during their last American tour. So sentimental!!!!!!

I couldn't tell you how many batteries, I'd go through in my Sony Walkman, listening to this album cassette over and over, my first year in High School. "And Justice For All" is MY favorite Metallica album, with "Master of Puppets", "Kill 'em All", and "Ride the Lightning" coming in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th.. in the order. Loved this reaction, Biss. No pausing for you! Clearly.. Metallica won't give you an opportunity to. J/K, we all know you gotta.

I think this is so cool that Metallica has been going long enough to receive a whole new crop of fans from the next generation who's never heard their music 🙏🏼😁 I remember when I was getting into Metallica in high school my mom said "oh gee they're still around? The beginnig theme is "The Ecstasy of Gold" (it. L'estasi dell'oro) by one and only Ennio Morricone. I hope someday you listen to the original from movie it. "Il buono, il brutto, il cattivo" - spaghetti western from 1966 by Sergio Leone.

The name Metallica itself was originally planned by a friend of Lars Ulrich to be the name of a music magazine. But Lars Ulrich actually used it as the name of his band.

This place is massive! The Arena of Nîmes (French: Arènes de Nîmes) is a Roman amphitheater in Nîmes, southern France. Built around 100 CE, shortly after the Colosseum of Rome, it is one of the best-preserved Roman amphitheaters in the world.

That such concerts would once take place in an ancient building (in Nîmes, the colonia Nemausus in the province of Gallia Narbonensis of the Roman Empire, the amphitheater was built between 90 and 120 AD based on the model of the Roman Colosseum) - well, somehow logically, because even in antiquity it was infotainment construction - of course much bloodier than today. Do bullfights still take place in Nimes today?

That melody at the beginning that everyone is singing, the crowd pretty much learned it from either being or watching enough Metallica concerts to actually learn the song. That's not even a Metallica song!!! It's a famous song but most people there would know from being Fans.

The song at the start "Ectasy of Gold" is from the movie "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly" staring Clint Eastwood......you should check that out on your other channel.......actually the entire "Man With No Name" trilogy of movies is worth a watch. Metallica has been opening their shows with that song since the 80's If you want some different Metallica you should give "Until it Sleeps" a listen/watch.......recommend the video version though.....that was the start of the whole "OMG they cut their hair" BS
