That was a fantastic run. I've never seen that formable done before. The ultimate challenge for formables is to start as Yugoslavia, release Croatia, and form Austria Hungary. You should do this. I think you're the only KZfaqr good enough.

Malaysian and Indonesian language has direct and simple pronunciation. The word is pronounced directly based on spelling. It's pronounced "Ma-Ja(Ja not Ha)-Pa-Hit". In case anyone is curious :-) Good video anyway!

Just for your information: the strategy still sorta works but not really anymore since the Nazis will not let you join their club until 1939/start of WW2. To capitulate the Dutch you have to use a similiar tactic to the one Bitter used in his Crusader Kings II achievement guide: declare war on Republican Spain asap (take Murcia as war goal since that one takes a while to fall to Franco), ask Franco for military access and use his ports for a naval invasion into the Netherlands. I also recommend going Communist since Malaysia starts with 30% communist support. Plus Stalin is very VERY generous with lend lease in the first phases of your glorious Pacific conquest. Also also: i recommend taking out Portugal and taking Timur since thats also core territory of the Thela-Thel-Thelacross-Malay Empire. All in all Malaysia is probably one of the most fun minors to play in HOI4 in my opinion.

Would love a part 2. Always satisfying to end a HOI4 game where you get to the point that you could fairy easilly wc :)

Achievement unlocked: offend every indonesian by playing bri ish malaya despite majapahit is from indonesia not malaysia Heres some short history: Majapahit is a javanese kingdom( an Indonesian island ) As majapahit conquered other islands like borneo, sumatra, maluku etc. Unfortunately for the malay kingdoms (those who has opposed the majapahit rule) were victims to majapahit invasions. And the sultanate of malacca defeated majapahit. Indonesia is one of the few southeast asian nations that glorify the majapahit empire as it is forgotten in some parts of malaysia and Philippines. Although majapahit are not able to conquer sunda and some pacific islands. It inspired unity in Indonesia during the independence war.

2:35 : I don't think the AI actively deletes buildings. Rather, the game system deletes a certain amount of factories when the owner switches due to an event or something like that. I think this also happens when starting as Republican Spain and building up an area that you don't keep (or say, you build up a Nat. Spain province because you want to play them). Verification may be required though...

Yea this was a satisfying game! I allways struggle with the navy, its abit hard to know what to do. It was nice to have some explanation as to how to do it in this vid. I would love to see you go against the allies, but as a challenge: you cant invade the uk untill the very end! 1ste usa so we can see a reverse island hopping and a reverse midway? :D

1:44 you are getting 5 factories from trade. The minus 1 means you get 4 factories for yourself, and 2 are used for consumer goods while the other two you can build with. The reason why you have -1 civilian factories is because of the British, who are taking your factories. The calculations include all of the civs you have access to, but it is displayed as only affecting your owned factories. Because you have so few owned factories, they go into the negatives when the British are taken into account.

I always use a similar naval strategy in my games. The only difference is I go for battlecruisers filled with light guns, instead of the heavy cruisers. A bit more expensive but more bonuses for them in tech and doctrines. As the older models get to be noticably out of date, I turn them into battleship deck conversion carriers. They don't have the best deck space but they're faster and better than keeping the older models around.

I think a part 2 for this video would be really cool, fighting to take Japan and to push out the British.

Sadnly you can't make this kind of cruiser anymore. you should redo this nation again for an updated version, it's a great vid!

One of the few things these fast boats can do without taking damage is convoy raiding. Put them around the occupied coastline of China and basically afk watch the Japanese convoy count go down. There is a point where Japan runs out of oil, then you can put your fleets to patrol and always engage. It's a bit of a cheese strat, but it works perfectly.

The reason as to why you got so many factories is because you get alot of your puppets, factories based on what kind of integration level their at. 25:03 The notification takes alittle bit of time to show up.

Nice video. I'd say the Flemish/Dutch words are harder than "Majapahit" but that's just me. Would love to see more of this. For some reason, these islands are quite alluring. I always have to abandon my China games when I fight the allies so I'd love to see you have a go!

You probably got those 20 factories at 25:04 because you had many puppets doing the focus tree and did construction things.

Starting from nothing, as a country with no focus tree, that did not play a huge part in WW2, actually building a navy and proceeding to have a bunch of fun with every major front of the war?? This is probably the most enjoyable way to play this game.

Ma-Jah-Pah-Heet I think it's a phonetic pronunciation that people screw up because Civ 5 pronounces it wrong (the narrator calls it Mai-ya-pit) Sort of like tall lady from Resident Evil 8. She's Lady "Dih-mih-tres-ku" but they pronounce it wrong in the game. That's what I've heard from multiple sources online anyway, I don't speak any Indonesian language or Romanian.

Ah, A Campaign after my own heart. I did an MP as Bulgaria to Balkan Federation. The USSR player and I were having a grand issue getting to the USA, so my solution wasn't 'Submarine Spam' as would have been useful, instead I rushed 1944 Crusiers, stacked light attack, and used 20 of them to Sink the Entire British-American Navy of 740 Ships. It was glorious, but most importantly, *satisfying* something that Sub Spam definitely isn't.

You can actually better your naval experience with tbis nation: have the naval dockyard focus play selected while the civil war fires. The ai enemy will not delete those dockyards because they are from a focus. Civil war might take a while longer because of shipbuilding though.but that would be easy +3 dockyards

I found out recently that the difference between malay and malasian is that Malay means people ethnically from malaysia, whereas malasyaian is the nationality of the people there.

I’d like to see you take the allies but here’s a tip for that: The British are coming. They have a focus to declare on Japan and they will use it. That’ll put you in a defensive war so I’d suggest taking some Chinese clay to bulk up before that happens. On second thought without Japan attacking the Philippines it shouldn’t be too hard.

I Loved the Navy plays in this video! I find it to be the hardest and most neglected part of this game. Its always nice to learn some tips and tricks on the navy.

Historical facts: Majapahit Empire were actually formed in Indonesia, which is actually the Dutch East Indies. I would say picking British Malaya is both correct and incorrect options because Indonesia is actually Dutch East Indies during WW2, but it is not wrong as well since Majapahit Empire had a territory all over Nuantara (including the British Malaya's territory before colonialization).

14:00 ACTUALLY, detection has zero impact on the combat effectiveness of a ship. It's only used on the patrol / convoy raiding mission. Strike forces rely solely on the patrol ships to fully spot the enemy fleet first before they go out to intercept. What you're thinking about is surface visibility which is that stat that not only has an effect outside of combat (particularly with subs, obviously) but inside of it because it along with speed makes ships harder to hit (or prioritize idk which.) You're better off leaving the slot empty or adding an additional gun while your actual patrol cruisers of a separate design focus on adding as much radar and scout planes as can fit. Specialization is the name of the game, basically, and you save yourself a ton of fuel. Scout DDs and CLs patrolling packed with detection, not sure about the composition. Then roach DDs and Heavy CLs as the strike force.
