It’s a great looking version of a great watch. Making this part of the regular line up is nice. Is this a major deal? Nope. But I don’t think we should shit on Omega for giving us something new and cool seems silly though.

I think its done to perfection. Love the splash of red with the Speedmaster script and the blackened hands and markers against the white. The fact that you said Omega should stop limited editions at the same time you trash them for not making this limited is really dumb. Love your rants but this entire episode is bizarre and rather without point.

To be fair, yes omega has been releasing "white dial" speedy before... There's the LE Mitsukoshi (panda), the LE Apollo 11 (panda, arguably the international LE of the Mitsukoshi dial) the LE Alaska Project, the LE Snoopy gen 2, the LE Albino for Italian market, the LE Tokyo Olympic (panda, in the spirit of the the LE Mitsukoshi), the Canopus Gold (in the spirit of the Italian "Albino"), the Snoopy gen 3 (blue panda subdial, non LE but limited production), and some other bunch speedy like the japan domestic market speedy reduced LE Albino, LE Panda, some of the speedy racing references, and lastly the speedy white side of the moon. Except for the white ceramic dialed speedy white side of the moon, the other white dialed speedies are painted white brass dial and some even closer to silver than white. So I'd say kudos to them to finally released one that isn't LE which is truly white, that achieved by lacquer dial, which in person is kind of look like the recently discontinued white side of the moon's ceramic dial. In person it looked clean, and I know that omega's lacquered dials does have that enamel-like quality on it. Would I call them lazy? I don't think so as in the surface it might be "another" white dialed speedy, they do increasing the quality befitting the price they asked for, in comparison to the standard black speedy which by year just looking more and more expensive for what you get. Though in comparison the LE's I mentioned, this white one is much cheaper than those and more widely approachable.

I’ve owned the white lacquered dial ‘57 in titanium for a while now. I’ve been told that the ‘57 doesn’t count because it’s not a speedmaster professional “moonwatch”, despite the ‘57 preceding the moonwatch.

it's pretty much the speedmaster version of the Seamaster 300m diver white dial with the red text. Much hype but not a lot of substance when you think about it, wait 12-18 months and this watch will trade well below retail along the standard Moonwatch.

Yes, I like it. I own the UL approved black dial one, I'd sure like to switch it up with a white dial one on occasion.

It's a beautifully executed watch, and I'm seriously considering swapping my sapphire sandwiches for it. A broader point is that it is a safe watch, and has mass appeal. With the slowdown in the economy, and consequently watch market, I think we will see more safe watch releases. Let's be honest, last year had some nuts updates by omega. The new ploprof? Super, that's made 4 Omega fansboys happy. This on the other hand will appear to non watch enthusiasts, just as a classy looking watch.

I hated that watch but now with that white dial, I want one so badly.

I love the new design and would choose it over the black version. Still, it's only a new colour.

It looks nice, but do people realize that this colourway is a ripoff of Pagani Design's ripoff ? They made this watch more than 6 months ago and it has a black sapphire bezel. Ah yes. The ten millionth iteration of the moonwatch, I'm surprised that Omega has not come out with an official report saying 'We milk the cow 'til it died.' Funny how this model is priced higher, all because the dial is white. If the Moonwatches today were a painting, it would be an all-white canvas that a rich woman would buy for millions, just to place it on the white walls of their all-white mansion.

Unfortunately for me a panda 🐼 dial (white and black) are like black and red (bred) quality sneakers and shoes to me, it’s a yes for me with that being said I’m bias when it comes to not only the look but also the brand.

Another bad take from this guy. There was no "Victory Lap" from Omega (just a normal product release) and he is alone in his opinion that it's "The Most Boring Watch Ever". The watch has received adoration from 90%+ of watch fans. "I wasn't going to make an episode about this watch then I realised that there's money to be made talking crap about it so alas.."

I actually agree with you I'm Just over the Speedmaster Professional at this point. I've gotten completely sick of it but would love a vintage Omega Speedmaster Mark 3 or Mark 4.5. The Professional is just way over done
