“I’ve never seen anyone this competitive, and it’s always on” That level of dedication is rare, very rare. Most keep neglecting that Mike had to WORK hard to achieve his success and level of competitiveness, not just a natural talent.

@ghidorahthetruealpha61988 ай бұрын
Michael Jordan had a combination of the two. Natural talent and incredibly hard, severe, psychotic, competitive work ethic. Remember he mentioned those battles with his brother Larry in his early life -wanting to be better than his brother Larry at all costs- to get his father's love and attention? This psychological trauma led to his hyper competitiveness. His other natural talents and attributes were simply a plus. The combination of his natural talents, the ability to learn from and profit from trials and hyper competitiveness is what led to him being the G.O.A.T. 🐐. LeBron James and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar both had great natural talent and longevity, but not necessarily Michael Jordan's hyper competitiveness and killer instinct. (Especially not LeBron with his 2011 and other mental meltdowns) KAJ has certainly had better championship performances than LeBron. LeBron has incredible natural talent, though. Magic Johnson had near Jordan's level of competitiveness, but couldn't necessarily back it up as well as Jordan; he just didn't have the natural talents to the level that Jordan had. Now, Kobe Bryant was a dangerous one; he didn't have the natural inherent talent that Jordan had, but he tried to make up for it with his competitiveness and super hard work ethic and refusal to back down! And going to the master to learn and soak up as much knowledge about competition from Michael Jordan-Kobe has said this; he didn't get five championships without great help and assistance from Michael Jordan. 😎 Wilt Chamberlain had the supreme natural talents, but lacked the desire to dominate and pursue championships. He desired individual accolades more. No Jordan like killer instinct to demolish opponents when he could have. Supreme natural talent though! Sadly , he also had to deal with Bill Russell's stacked Celtics teams...

This is one of the best points about Michael I never really heard before,well brought to light in this manner anyway. We're all consumed about his on court heroics and rightly so,it's crazy good what he's done.Michael is the best player of all time to this day,hands down. But what BJ said also,which is so important,Michael is also the best trainer of all time. This is what you should be showing the next generation of basketball players before you show all his on court game highlights. Proving what he did night after night with great success was no fluke.It had nothing to do with luck.He earnt that privilege. This is why he is perceived to be a nasty person to some. The man is just after perfection in the game he loves so much and he will do anything to achieve it. And you know what,it worked. As much as I believe we all have the right to speak your mind, I think it would have been better if Scottie would of let it go and allow the fans to speak up for him. As a Bulls fan I'll always be greatful for having Pippen all those years, especially in 94-95. With that being said, jordan is undeniably the goat. Egos be egos i guess.

I grew up in the 90s and AM OFTEN HAVING to defend my belief that MJ is the GOAT. People almost always say he could not beat Chamberlain and I just say that Chamberlain could not guard Jordan at all. Jordan had too many weapons. He could pull up and drain midrange jumpers, drain set shots, drive and jam it on almost anybody…

There are a lot of professions in life. Some people are cleaners, some firefighters, some nurses, doctors. Some chefs or waiters. BJ Armstrong's profession is publicly barging about the true and non-true stories from career of Michael Jordan. Oh yes, and his second profession is to still look like a teenager.

The thing that separates Mj from everyone else is that he could do ANYTHING he wanted. He didn't reach his full potential because he simply didn't work on his three ball a lot. If he would have worked on it as much as his midrange he would have been the literal perfect player.
@Chaldo10002 жыл бұрын
That speaks testimony to how lethal he was in his game though, averaging 37 points per game, 35 points per game, etc etc throughout the seasons while barely shooting any 3-pointers. All off mid range shots and driving to the basket. That’s insane especially considering how players today get a good half their points from threes now. And whenever the 3 ball was necessary he still lit it up.

It almost sounds like MJ was doing a lot of coke, but I have never seen anyone so much as hint at that. I am confident that wasn't the case. But going out in the sun for not 18, but 36 holes of golf (and drinking alcohol!), when he had to play a game that evening? That is pretty crazy stuff.
