And, of course, I don't own this video, I've never interviewed Björk (though I sort of wish I could :3).

Oh and I should say that I think Björk is brilliant. Somehow whenever I listen to her music, her voice always seems to remind me that the voice was the first instrument. As incredibly developed and sophisticated as her voice is, she just retains such a primal and expressive element in her delivery that's impossible to miss.

It happens even when it's the same language. I was born in in the U.S. but my parents moved to the U.K. when I was 2 and we moved back to the U.S. when I was 15. I just naturally adopted a British accent, even though my parents spoke with an American accent. I was in HS and wanted to sound like everyone else so I learned to speak with an American accent, but anytime I go back to the UK or spend time around family or friends from the UK, I fall right back into the accent, without realising it.

Dearest Björk. You are one of the people I look up to the most and I am thrilled that this is happening. I think perhaps you have slowly been translating from music to what can be represented in images. That is sublime and I say it as a hopefully meaningful compliment which I hope you accept. Gratitudes back to Björk warmth and endless respect. Claudia from Italy

Bjork is one of those rare artists who is fearless and committed about growth and exploration in her music..like Joni Mitchell who continues to go places unexpected and often far from commercial..and when you love these artists you go out here with them. She is a genius

Comparing Gaga to Bjork is interesting. I do thing Gaga aspires to and achieves some originality. But Bjork is on a different level, and she has the gift of true genius. She isn't just trying to be original, she is also exploring life. Gaga tries a little too hard, maybe, but she is young. She's more like Madonna to me. More polished, less organic.

I think that as people, we should always be trying to reinvent ourselves. Otherwise we are not really living life, we are just doing things the way they have always been done. As an artist, it makes sense that she would do this because that is what being an artist is. Plus, if Bjork cared to dress or style herself in a way that everyone would like, then she wouldn't really be Bjork. And that's called being a poser.

Just because she looks different now, doesn't mean her voice has changed. and It still is about the music, she still loves music all the same. I think she has gained strength over the years of her not singing.. If anything. She still is quite beautiful, the music is still awesome, and her voice is still glorious.. I don't see anything wrong there..

Biophilia indeed sounds very organic like Björk herself said! Slightly different than before but just as good, creative and emotional, and I'm so glad that she got her voice back! ♥ It was so sad when her previous cig to Finland was cancelled. I've been a huge fan of hers for years, but have never had a chance to see her live! I hope my dream would finally come true ♥

I can't believe people are dogging her here! She writes beautiful, a little bit zany, but beautiful songs. I look at Björk's musical career and almost none of it stayed the same. That's good, most artists stick to one thing, Björk does it all and all are great. Plus, I like the orange hair!

That's no different than regional sub-dialects in America. When you move around and live in, say, California or New York City, then return to your rural area you slide right back into your regional accent. For those who haven't experienced this, I'm referring to the Pittsburgh to Altoona, PA rural accent. When your away from PA for years you lose a lot of that accent, but pick it right up when you return. My guess is it is the same across America.

A lot of people think this album lacks of the emotion of her past albums but is not as if the topics on Biophilia are not artistic, deep or important. I find it really poetic how nature and non living entities are analogous to the creative process, and also how life itself (replicating DNA (Hollow), protein synthesis (Virus), the living cell) is perfectly coordinated. So don't think you can talk about "personal things" without even knowing why you are alive. Bipohilia=Love for living systems ^^

@Besoaria I saw björk live in berlin in the Vespertine ära, i think 2005. Sound in that hall was very bad and out was a big storm that was hearing in the hall, but looking in her eyes is a magical moment. it gives you special emotions see her live. for a long time i said that Vespertine was a logical consequence from Homogenic ;-). i dont want say anything to the last two albums, because i need time...but Thunderbolt is another Björks "special thing"...hope you see björk soon as possible ;-))

Although I feel quite comfortable with an American accent, in some ways a British accent still feels more comfortable for me. People don't get that. They don't know what it's like. It's like they want you to pick one or the other and stick to it, but it's not like that. They'll ask me why my accent has changed, but I don't even realize it's happened half the time. Gillian Anderson and John Barrowmen are two examples of the same. Their accent depends on where they are & with whom they're speaking

@KingOfUm Really? That's interesting...I actually couldn't get it out of my head! I found the melody for "Virus" especially mesmerizing and memorable, especially her howling-like singing that repeats itself..."Crystalline" had an extremely prominent and memorable beat for me, and I remember being very intrigued by "Mutual Core" Some of the others were a little late bloomers for me, like "Moon" and "Dark Matter"and "Thunderbolt" but still very strange and memorable melodies.

You have to think that English is not her native tongue...as with me when I am purely speaking my first language (dutch) I start to speak with different inflections etc...in the 90s she was in England and had english in her ears constantly...then the last decade probably the other way around...back to hearing icelandic constantly...im sure if she spent an appreciable amount of time in England again it would change yet again.
