That is an amazing view. How many can say they have that view from a corner office..? You are fortunate. Extremely hard working. But fortunate. Hats off, from a “damn Yank”.

Morning Bjarne, that panoramic view was beautiful. Love a bunch of snow in Evergreens. Just letting people know, your sweater fits and feels great. Hi quality all the way. Can't wait for the jacket.

Another epic video from the epic dude in the epic sweater 😁 (I would like one of those sweaters but figure the shipping to Scotland might be prohibitive). Great laugh after getting hit in the face with snow! 🤣 Aside from the great work, great scenery and great sounds, for some reason I really enjoyed seeing the heat haze coming off your saw just after you'd sharpened it. A friend of mine said his boss is bought a grinder and is switching everything to square chain. Was skeptical at first but said it's like 90 percent faster for bucking

I have the jacket and it’s good quality, def size up. I’m usually a small especially in work clothes(which usually still fit too big) but the medium fits like a glove. Should have waited for the sale 😂

You take pride in the job you do. That is something seldom done today because most of this current generation has a very poor work ethic and wants the maximum amount of pay for the very least amount of work, and poor- quality work at that.

Your saw sounds odd. Almost sounds like the bar isn’t oiling well and it’s binding. Sounds like it’s down on peak rpm and it is having a hard time.

It looks like you’re sporting a much shorter axe now. What’s up with that?
@KevinsDisobedience
@KevinsDisobedience Жыл бұрын
I had the same question. In some of his older videos, he was using a short axe, and then talked about wanting something longer to hammer wedges. I’m guessing he decided the weight and length ain’t worth the trouble given that he mostly bangs with one hand anyway. Curious to hear his thoughts though. I run 25-28” when falling, but then I don’t have to pack it around lol

What do you expect when you LOOK UP?!!!!
@cameronhamer9432
@cameronhamer9432 Жыл бұрын
Always look up , falling limbs , the top of the tree sometimes breaks off . It’s one of the most important lessons I teach new fallers . Keep your head on a swivel , look around . Most of the time it isn’t the tree your falling that gets you , it’s one behind you . 👍🇨🇦

Why do you always cut the splinters left on a stump?
@cameronhamer9432
@cameronhamer9432 Жыл бұрын
It’s a rule , splinters must be removed for safety . If you fall on them ,will cause injury . 👍🇨🇦

Hey bud love your videos, been watching for over a year now. Not a lumber jack or any but I have a question. Been seeing a ton of videos of people going to square filling. I see you are sticking to a round file. Any reason you prefer it?
@hammerdown184
@hammerdown184 Жыл бұрын
I’m a cutter and can probably answer this question for you. Round chain is more durable and can be hand filed more easily that being said square chain cuts slightly faster and gives you a little more accuracy on the face but requires a high skill level and more time to hand file. A lot of cutters like round because they get paid to file at work and don’t have to carry around extra chains and swap them out on the hill.

Thank you very much for your response. I cut a good but around the house and for friends. I will stick to the round file then since you have a compelling argument. I am thankful for your help.
@scottw.2450
@scottw.2450 Жыл бұрын
I think most fallers go with square filing. It does cut faster than round but dulls faster. If you’re bucking logs dragged by a skidder you’d better round file because that dirt will dull chains, even using bucking techniques for bucking dirty logs. Even for falling it’s time consuming to square file. For skidder logging one thing you don’t need to do is waste time. Nothing I hate worse than someone waiting on me because I’m taking too long. So 90% of the time I round file full skip full chisel chain.
