To be fair, bjj guys get constantly discredited everytime they fail to submit a fellow UFC fighter, as if that other UFC fighter hasn't also been training grappling for god knows how long. This was payback 😂😂

@@flipgsp the kickboxing dude had literally no expertise on the ground. Many time he could have done a very basic shrimp move just to keep distance but he was clueless the whole ground game.

SMH not really BJJ teaches you to close the distance witch people who are good at kicking and punching isn't good once that distance is closed and then once a boxer or kick boxer is on the ground it's like fish out of water to a BJJ lmao 🤣

It’s aslan, he’s just a great fighter in general, and one fc likes to put labels on guys to bring in views, they have labeled aslan as a taekwondo fighter, a wrestler, and a BJJ fighter

@@Skizzy03 What Muay Thai fighter opens with a Question mark kick?! That's pretty typical kickboxing though. And his defense game and timing are pretty bad. The "BJJ" guy is making him looks like he hasn't sparred much at all?

@@plexq The only Muay Thai he showed in the video was the knee strike. Everything else was just terrible boxing and a question mark kick that missed by a mile.

I am from Germany and to be fair the "BJJ" guy is from Dagestan and has good wrestling and decent striking background and already participated in multiple MMA fights.

The muay Thai Guy is 19 yrs old and should have fought another Guy, Who jumped off 15 minutes pré fight. Thé bjj Guy has much more experience with his 27 j and was only a last minute Backup.

So my DM was going to be what happened to your knee and if it's a ju jitsu injury how would you recommend others not get it. They say there is no such thing as overtraining, just underresting Best of luck to you! I hope i m still as motivated as you by the time i m your age! 🙏

Dude, I can't describe how these videos are the perfect mix of entertainingly describing what's going on mixed with the subtle effects you edit in to point out the critical parts...these are more educational than many of the traditional videos out there, always with one practitioner talking and his rolling dummy ready to get demonstrated on. Well done, man!

Bullshit. That guy wasn't a Muay Thai guy. He landed no low kicks. Barely attempted. Very unskilled. Title should have been decent fighter beats shit fighter. And the long haired red Indian looking guy hasn't got the looks to keep showing us his face. Face for radio. Should stick to voice-over.

The fight was not planned, the enemy he should have gotten cancelled plans and he had the honor to decide to fight against Aslan (The far more experienced BJJ guy) even though he knew he has way more training and also he was not prepared that well because he had an injury and couldnt train that much bc of quarantine in germany so pls dont be so rude Eugene is a really kind hearted and dedicated person it was just bad luck this day

Man this breakdown at the beginning is awesome. I've watched tons of UFC and know some of the basic terminology, but I also know that a bunch of stuff is flying over my head without me realizing it. The pauses and pointing out little details is really cool and helpful. I'm signing my 9 y/o son up for BJJ next week and I would like to take it myself (if my horrible back can handle it). Great video!

Love the stuff. Sorry about the knee!! I have some compounding knee issues I'm trying to get over from training. I'm not near the caliber rolling guy that u are but I know how bad it sucks to not be able to train. I wish u a speedy recovery and even tho u can't roll your content is still awesome. Loved seeing maverick on here I am a Missouri native like her!!! Watched her live when she fought for Invicta she's my favorite female fighter and I hope that one day she will birth me a child.... Anyway keep up the great stuff!

5:50 That was actually fucking sick. Maybe thats not what he was planning but that turning side kick made him go to his left so if he can time this right he can start to get in on the clinch as the other guy side steps the kick, setting it up to get in close. Sometimes Muay Thai guys will be real hard to get close on, its smart to use striking to make them move and time that connection.

I think it was that wheel kick that caught him real good on the nose. He rolled and barely blocked most everything else and bjj guy was making sure to side step out of his over extended strikes so MT guy couldn't counter him.

hard to compare styles when it really comes down to how good a fighter is. i wrestled in hs and i might beat a noob in wrestling but at the same time i wasnt ever a good wrestler so might lose to a natural athlete type

This was a well rounded mma fighter vs a pure striker. This fight was 80% going to the "grappler". Props to both men though. Warriors.

to me atleast it seems like grappling or bjj gets exponentially more oppressive and "better" compared to typical striking martial arts the less your opponent knows about grappling himself. and i personally think being able to grapple even just on a fundamental level gets you further than being a beginner at boxing. because being good at boxing is fucking hard.
