BJJ Tournament White Belt

Quick and easy entry from standing to single leg X with a straight foot lock finish. Was working on smoothing this out for a while and it went beautifully during this tournament.

Straight ankle locks are legal for all adults. Someone said it later in the comments, but only heel hooks, knee bars, wrist locks, and bicep/calf slicers aren't. Even those become legal the higher you get (or based on whether you're wearing the gi or not)

I’ve been doing juijitsu like 6 month but how I’ve always done it is if it’s a submission where going to far can rlly mess people up one tap is fine is there a rule that it has to be three

I think ur wrong cause after that one tap he stopped and rest his arm behind him to show he didnt want to continue..

I think that entry was illegal. Looked like a full reap on the knee. Legal submission though for white belts

If you watch closely my heel never crosses over his hip to the center so there was no reap, but good eye to even be looking out for something like that! 🤙🏽🤙🏽

⁠@@camilokarlssonno that’s knee reaping, it looked like he knee reaped but his ankle never crossed over the guys hip so it wasn’t a reap, and straight ankles aren’t illegal heel hooks are

only the straight ankle lock is allowed, some tournaments have different rules but the rest are usually for higher belts.
