Jen, I am so happy you are back on KZfaq. Your reviews are so valuable and answer so many of my questions. I love how BJU explains the reason for math but dislike how it’s not enough explanation for the problems. I was praying since the Pre-Algebra was update those issues were fixed. I guess we will continue with CLE Math8 😊. Also,I love how you made the lessons hands on. Thanks for your review.

Thank you so much for your kind words! I really appreciate them and am so glad to hear that the reviews are helpful. Yes, there were a few (two or three) lessons that I felt needed more explanation, but I would not recommend marking off this curriculum just for those two or three lessons. Math Antics videos did a great job of explaining what I wanted to get across in these concepts. As you know, no curriculum is perfect, but this one definitely provides a lot of resources to be at your fingertips when you need them. :)

Hi, thanks for the review. How teacher intensive is BjU pre-algebra?

We used it as parent-led, so it did require time from me. However, there are video lessons that BJU offers that would mean little teacher time required. Your child's math ability and interest would definitely impact how much time is required from you. The teacher's guide and student book provide great explanations, examples, and practice problems.
