Everyone was playing with Malakai’s feelings this season

There was so much they could have done with this relationship, but no, instead, they chose to turn Rowan into a psycho for shit that happened years ago and, worst of all turn their relationship into a triangle with Amerie, like ugggh. It would have been so nice their relationship blossom into something really meaningful.

they had so much chemistry, even just looking at each other its a real shame that couldn't of blossomed and the writers just turned him into a psycho

I actually think he liked Malakai, ofc, the fact that Malakai was also Amarie's ex definitely was a plus on his vendetta however I do think everything went to shhhhht the moment Malakai called him Amerie. At that point, Rowan was still hating Amarie and that's why he broke up with Malakai. It was Amerie once again "ruining his life"

i wish they'd continued this relationship like come on i was shipping them so hard in the first couple episodes

Heartbreaking that they had to make this wonderful guy so broken. But I guess that's what the series is about, sometimes you can be both good and bad, things aren't so black and white

They could’ve all been in a throuple, and none of this heartbreak and drama would’ve happened. I mean, they all liked each other, so I don’t see why they couldn’t just come to that solution. It was the most natural and sensible remedy to their situation.

Rowan and Amerie felt so wrong and not just because of the bird psycho thing. She falls for anybody that gives her some attention but at least the others made some sense.

They would've honestly been the sweetest and wholesome pairing ever if Rowan wasn't using Malakai and is a LITERAL scheming psychopath.

If yeh show does get renewed I hope they will bring Rowan character back

I don’t think people understand how character arcs and development work? It’s not supposed to be a happy ending it’s supposed to show growth between characters that’s what makes a show good. People are complicated and I don’t think people realize that.

Everything in Malaki’s storyline was surrounded by amarie every thing was about her is it bad I’m starting to hate her too

If there's a next season for this series then I'd hope malakai get a better guy, I mean someone who treats him well Cox nan just had worst throughout the show

I usually don't comment on posts, but on this one I had to cause they totally missed the plot this season, the writer had to piss us off. Rowan was no Psycho, but for Amerie to be relevant they had to turn him into one. They should have used the pregnancy instead of doing that to Rowans Character and their relationship. I looked back at season 1 and got a different vibe from when Malachi met Amerie compared to when he met Rowan. On their first meet they both didn't know each other but damn it felt like when I met my first crush, OMG! The nerves, love at first crush. Malachi felt so strong about Rowan that it scared him. He pursued him every chance he got, even with all the issues his going through he still couldn't let go of Rowan. Personally, that was the first time I saw Malachi like that, giving his heart, body and soul. If Malachi displayed this much passion for Amerie, I would be leaving a comment on their edit, but he didn't. With that said... This couple would have been EPIC! They deserved better.

the intention was clear to have rowan be a twist villain from the start on rewatch but it still stings I dont think turning him into a psycho was a bad move but it upset me malakai and rowan didnt become a real thing

Why do they turn Rowan into a f*cking psycho? And why making him love Amerie???? It has no sense, you can't love a person at this level and hate her like that at the same time. I like Rowan, but I feel he just messed up the whole thing with Malakai just for fun and to make Amerie feel like crap. And it's even more brutal, bc Malakai was discovering his bisexuality in the middle of that (he accepts it really quickly btw, happy for him but unrealistic, especcially when he's in love with a girl for a long time, having a crush on a guy must be a hige thing, isn't it?) Stop treating Malakai like shit, he doesn't deserves it T.T

I really hope in season 3 they touch on whether Rowan’s feelings for Malakai in the beginning were genuine or was it just all a plot. Malakai and Amerie will still probably end up together in the end tho.

Great video, but you missed the scene where Malakai looks Rowan up and down in a flirty manner after he showed Rowan around the school at the beginning. It was from then that I knew that Malakai was interested and was wondering if they would make those two a thing and I'm so glad they did. (Even tho it took a turn afterwards lol)

It was so sad, i love them together. It was normal for Malakai to have this feelings because of threesome with Harper and that georgeous boy from season one ( idk his name, sorry). It was so natural! That puppy eyes and silly smile when Malakai meet him was so sweet. He was crushing soooo hard. Poor boy. First he was in love in crazy girl ( i love how real and complex character Amarie is but guuuurl) and trear poorly (racist) and now he has a crush on unstable boy and still everyone treat him like a toy. He is not Perfect, but he is a good person! Justice for Malakai! Sorry for my english, this is not my first language!😊

I think the pride is missing! One can fall in love, but if there is no positive response, that love should stop. Of course there are uptight bisexual men. But, narcissists generally like to have power over others. And, personally, I generally do not find Nordic men very attractive, especially this actor. Anyone who loves others too much is immature and has a lack of self-love. As a man of 30 he would laugh about his strange feelings back then.
