I heard this reactor only one time, and will definitely keep scrolling. The majority of comments were regarding the appearances of the brothers (especially about Barry’s shiny chest). This is actually a massive scar from an accident with near-boiling tea accidentally poured on his chest at the age of two. Not much was said about the musical content at all. By the way, regarding “the ladies”. Barry has been married to his wife, Linda, since September, 1970, and they are still married to this day. Please educate yourself if you ever want react to The Bee Gees again. Maybe you won’t sound so foolish in the future.

It's like they invented harmony. Live band, no auto tune, no computerized voice enhancement and one mic for all three of them. Back then (1979). singing was just pure, raw talent. By the date of this recording, the BeeGees had already been singing together professionally for 21 years when Barry was 12 years old and the twins were just 9. All of the Gibb brothers including little brother, Andy, could sing in that amazing falsetto voice. But Barry was the master. He was able to exorcise more control over it. The Gibbs were, in my opinion, the most multi-talented families in music history. They wrote their own songs as well as writing songs for many other musical greats. This song was included on a compilation album to benefit UNICEF. There were many artists who recorded songs on the album, but the BeeGees gave all the royalties from this song in any form. In, at that time, an unprecedented move, they also gave UNICEF the publishing rights to Too Much Heaven. To date, Too Much Heaven has raised over 11 million dollars for UNICEF. In 1967, they wrote a song called To Love Somebody which appeared on their third album titled BeeGees 1st, but their first internationally, as the first two albums were only released in Australia. BeeGees 1st was released in July '67. Otis Redding was set to record To Love Somebody on his next album. Sadly, Otis was killed in a plane crash, Dec 10,1967. I thought for the longest time that they didn't record it themselves until after the death of Otis Redding. Their brother Andy Gibb had a very successful solo career as well until his death on March 10,1988. Just 5 days after turning 30. Andy had developed myocarditis, inflammation of the heart, which was brought on by a viral infection While most people recover from myocarditis, Andy's body was unable to fight the infection due to his history of drug use. Soo sad! The 1st time I heard this song, I was 15 years old. I was sitting on the floor in our living room. They sang with so much emotion that I had tears running down my face. It didn't hurt that before this I found out that Barry and I shared the same birthday, me in 1963 and him in 1946. While I was crying, my daddy came in and told me to knock it off or he'd change the channel. He was mean.

They didn't have auto-tune back then. Just pure, raw talent. I liked the story Barry tells of his newfound falsetto. He didn't know his voice could go that high. He was like, "Oh! I can do that." These guys...even their vibratos are harmonized. Talk about total voice control. And they're in a league of their own. Them, Chris Stapleton and a handful of others.

53 here. Mom slept to Bee Gees everyday (she worked nights). I'm thinking there's no way you had not heard their songs you just didn't realize who they were. Their careers were virtually obliterated by a DJ who declared disco dead and started stomping on the records. And disco died. Barry made it past the 1980 mark with Barbra Streisand on the Guilty album, other than that I don't remember anything coming out of them. There are Britain's number two biggest musically successful group, behind the Beatles. They formed as children we're at the long hair on the left side of the screen was singing lead and the one in the middle played guitar and backup and Morris the one on the right back up. Genetics is a marvelous thing because I cannot differentiate voices when they're independently singing. So cutie on the right was the star as a child and Barry in the middle the breakout in the 70s and 80s but the guy on the right Maurice who is the twin of the guy on the far-left Fraternal of course is the youngest and his vocals are just as strong as the other two's. After disco was pronounced over they continued to write songs for other people so their output being so great and for so long should really put them ahead of the beetles in my opinion who were very eclectic and not all great. I think with their output they should be ahead of The Beatles/ Paul McCartney. Regarding Morris the guy on the far right as Barry aged he began to look just like Maurice, in fact, right now he looks just like Maurice. They're all brothers and there's no auto-tuning it's all genetics Andy Gibb sounds just like his brothers and he was much younger than them. Check out Andy Gibb he died first. They can all four be seen performing in the video, You Should Be Dancing!

The one in the middle is the oldest brother Barry. Every woman were in love with Barry. The two brothers are twins, they have passed away. These brothers could harmonize like them, Barry can really sing high. Listen to. How do you mend a broken heart.

@@Jude74 who didn’t love Andy. I seen him at the Wisconsin state fair 1978, I was 13 and I was with my 2 older sisters. We had a blast. Man he was so adorable and smooth voice like Barry. He was Barrys heart.

If you like their sound here, more R&B songs of theirs from this era.....Stayin Alive, Fanny Be Tender With My Love, Jive Talkin, You Stepped Into My Life, Tragedy, More Than a Woman, Love So Right, Love You Inside Out. That will cover the late 70's. They also have many songs from the 60's and early 70's that were more of a ballad style. Then in the 80's and 90's, more of a funky pop sound.

Never auto tuned...never! Just pure talent and harmony! They began as mere children! Maurice and Robin were fraternal twins. Barry was the eldest! Ever hear of Andy Gibb? He sang on his own and died at age 30 from suicide! I love The Bee Gees since the 60’s. Does Saturday Night Fever ring a bell? The Bee Gees wrote most of the music from that movie with John Travolta! They wrote Grease for the movie. The great Gibb Brothers...no one ever has or ever will compare to them! Maurice died at 53 from complications of colon surgery and Robin died at 63 from cancer! Robin had a wonderful natural vibrato voice.

They are all cute, but Barry is preposterously handsome. Welcome to the world of Bee Gees. This is in the 70’s, auto tune was not even invented yet. It’s all them. Their range and harmony is second to none!

They started singing in perfect three part harmony when Barry (the oldest and the one in the middle) was nine and Robin and Maurice were six, their first tv appearance was in 1960 when they were children and had quite a few tv appearances as children so they were at it way before this
