Our ppl have suffered at the hands of each other since the 70s out here! I've lost loved ones and homies, our population out here has decreased since 1990 statistically. We've cannibalized ourselves to the point of my city of birth; compton no longer being blacc majority. My years spent in sections of south central & LB no longer being blacc either; to buying my own properties witnessing gentrification and reverse gentrification at 37 yrs old today. Homes, businesses, and lives seized by the police. Casualties of war aka craccheads permeate skid row and other sections. We got asians selling us our hair products, latinos selling us "authentic" bbq, and other baccwards shit in certain sections. No, one wants to go around with a "hateful" chip on their shoulder. This situation never had the trajectory of a "race war" ... it was outrage by some, woofin by others, and prideful ignorance. Seemingly, every 2-3 months we find ourselves in a cycle of *We GoTTa dO bEttAh N' UnITe* but no group Economics, colorism towards ur own kind, brainwashed into valuing depreciating assets, etc etc. This is nothing more than the other side doin "damage Control" . Not all Publicity is good publicity... The eggings and robbings were wrong not due to their race but due to the vulnerability of the victims. However, if somebody feelin some kind of way towards my race and want to lump us all in... f'k it. I'm unapoligetically *AFRICAN AMERICAN* ... i dont peace treaty, appease or apologize to any man over the transgressions of some random niggaz... Not all skin folk are kin folk... i know some latinos who i got more love for than some brothas i know. Thats a sad indictment on my own people. I was upset when I first saw this video but happy when I realized L.A. (county) people and others i.E., Diego caught the mixed / convoluted message. (For the youtube nation) The young Hoover on the left has a New York symbol crossed out (in LA the Yankees hat stands for Neighborhood) not gon speak on the 557k (the implications are obvious; 55NHC, 57NHC, 2 rival gangs part of the rollin 50's) and the crossed out 100 is a diss to a group of gangs in south LA. (HTHC, UGC, NH1_11, Blocs etc..) This type of imagery being allowed in a peace talk video undermines the message and speaks to a greater evil where the victimization of black men is minimalized in all of our subconsciousness (even black men). You don't get a pass on this one Street TV. I do understand you have other videos with black gangs talking peace among themselves but often times images and action speak more than words. Be more responsible!

the writing on his shirt is no different than the graffiti on the wall we drive by everyday. This is a great first step in the right direction regardless of what he is wearing. You are not seeing the larger picture and the positive dialogue that this one guy's presence in this video will have. I am out here doing the work everyday, while you criticize ME with no better options or solutions. There is no way I am going to make a grown man take off his shirt in front of 30 other people, when I never met this guy before, didn't even know his name, and just pulled up on this guy spontaneously while camera's were rolling. If the communities that he has wacked out on the shirt understand it, because they are doing the same thing, then we all can be more understanding.

That work has no doubt made the streets of LA safer and saved numerous lives. Thank you for all you do! I apologize! With that being said I stand by my original statement because of the far reaching nature of the young soldiers imagery. It speaks to the history of the city, the present and a potentially continuing ugly future. He says little but his shirt speaks volumes. It also influences other parts of the country that are easily influenced by our culture. (So yes I do see the bigger picture, just the other side of it) I would love to see you (because of your stature in the game now) bring in some reputables (1st generations) as consultants who can pull young influential brothers like that to the side and use that as a teachable moment. (of course it would be disrespectful to tell a grown man to take his shirt off, that's not gon happen) My two cents. Love your work and look forward to more videos.

I think yellow refers more to Chinese Koreans and Japanese, that part of Northeast Asia has snow so they gonna be pale and yellow but Southeast Asia is tropical and hot so they gonna be dark and tan..
