Black Bull: A Very Late Unlockable (F-Zero X)

The Black Bull has a reputation for being a great choice for players. Although, it's a very late unlock, possesses weak boost, is very heavy, and doesn't have strong speed retention. It DOES, however, feel easier to turn with at higher speeds (if you're not gentle with the Control Stick), compared to something like Queen Meteor or Blue Falcon which slip into drifting.

2:05 Actually, you don’t need to clear any cups on master to unlock Black Bull, you just need to win all 4 cups on expert.

I'm wondering why they got rid of his design in GX, it has such flair. Too bad the stats don't add up to his intimidation factor.

GX is the only true game where Black Bull has "efficiency." With no vents on the pod tower, the drag coefficient skyrockets, heavily affecting racing performances.

I had a blast with F-Zero X during it's time... but I don't think I could ever go back to it after GX. Some of the courses in X just give me a migraine😅

I know the F Zero universe, at least in the GX cinematics, has their own versions of freight trucks, but I like to imagine that the Black Bull was the front part of a semi truck that has been significantly modified, it's powerful engine barely being affected by the additional layers of armor placed upon it.

As much as it might feel like a brick and lack in boost power, the stability can definitely be great for specific playstyles (though I always favor Hyper Speeder, and for anyone that just started White Cat has the same stats), and that stubborn grip is what saved me when trying to beat tne GP cups in Master using the D-Pad lmao

I just beat two GP in Master with this thing and it felt like I was playing on Expert, this machine does not care about the other racers. It was very fun to use honestly I guess this is my type of machine because I can't slide correctly for the life of me.

He’s not as late as The Skull. I still don’t get why The Skull is numbered last.

Personally, I’m not a very big fan of this machine. I tried it in time attack on mute city 1, and even repeatedly boosting as much as I could didn’t really bring me up to 1300 kph like the other machines did. It’s also very stiff to control.
