Black Canyon Campground is located 16 miles from Santa Fe, New Mexico in the Santa Fe National Forest. It is open from May to mid-October for $10/night as of 2021. You can reserve 18 out of the 36 sites thru recreation.gov. There is no electricity available, and the water was shut off in 2020-2021, not sure if it will be turned back on. There is a dump station at the Hyde Memorial State Park just up the road for a small fee.
Wood can normally be purchased at the Smiths & Albertsons locations, and also at Home Depot & Lowes.
There are many trash containers available, so no reason to leave garbage in your fire pit!
All sites have a table, fire pit w/grill, lantern post, and tent pad, 7-36 have a paved parking pad.

@@highdesertcampertours Keep going. Best youtube campground reviews out there. So many KZfaqrs don't show the campsite and that's what we want to see! I get it takes a lot of time to produce the video, but you are onto something really good.

Hey there- not sure if Recreation.gov informed you, but as of Thursday May 19th, the Santa Fe National Forest will close to the public due to the still growing Hermits Peak/Calf Canyon wildfire. The closure is set to last as long as Dec 31st, or until we get enough moisture.
