Hi MyaYard, I agree! They do grow up way too fast! If you blink you miss something! By the way I see your in Nova Scotia. I absolutely love it there! I have visited several times. We love Blackie and her kittens so much! We also have a rescue kitty who we thought was black, but in the sunlight, she's a rich red-ish brown. Her mom is a tortoiseshell, but her daddy was a beautiful sleek black feral fellow... The little brown long-haired one is getting braver. He will come out to play with you soon! ❤️🐾💕

That’s awesome, Blackie is so happy that you love her! 😻 It’s quite common for black cats to have browning of their coats. It’s called rust or rusting. But that is different from the actual brown color in their hair as in this little boy. Blackie’s boy Cocoanut, one of my indoor cats, was quite white at birth but now looks almost identical to a seal point or a Siamese cat.
