I tear up every time I see Asta's mom pop up right at the end. The fact that Asta has no clue that his entire origin story as a magic knight more or less happened because of his mother's unwavering love for both her children in her final moments breaks my heart no small degree. I seriously hope Liebe tells him that they're brothers someday

Anyone notice how the beginning of this op is a parallel to the beginning of op 1!? My heart when I saw that T_T It's a completely different vibe and goes well with the change Asta went through from ep 1 till these last few eps. It's like watching your own son grow up. So proud of this swol child.

It's awesome that the starting 20 seconds are an hommage to the first opening, they share the walking under the head shot, the walking calf shot and the smile of asta with the change to black and white palette! And what's more, if you play both openings at the same time, they're synchronized! Props to the animators

@@xnortheast1106 Black Clover and Yuki Tabata are like Asta himself. Went through one of the best comeback arcs in anime. Genuinely couldn't stand the show for the first 90 episodes and still was on and off about it after the elf arc, but now that I've finished, I'm so glad I did. The final stretch of the show has me actually waiting for the new series to air. Great show

They know that hype music plus not being afraid to hype people up to what's coming is the way instead of "Foreshadowing" moments with music that kind of screaming what the tone of the arc is.

They want it to be hype and that kind of “never give up”, “We got this”, “we’re gonna win” type beat and song so that people think that’s what is going to happen, that they are going to win immediately without any horrible situations occurring. But I won’t say any more for the anime watchers.... maybe I will bc I forgot to say that the next op, 14, is going to be MUCH more depressing, dark, and sad. Not just the visuals, the song too. Because as we get further into this dark arc, eventually, everything around it will start to change aswell. So it only makes sense for them to give most of us false hope, then everything goes downhill.

I dropped after episode 20 then started back up and was about to drop again when they were fighting the gel lady in the cave. Then yami showed up and we had a light vs dark magic battle. Black clover dun got me there.

@@pi3man252 Ya for me and my friend it was when what seemed like a filler episode (the triple date, actually a pretty funny episode IMO) wound up escalating more and more up to a battle between light and dark magic and that was the first time the animation spiked in quality (ep 34 and 35). After that the story got better, but the animation stayed inconsistent but had some stellar fights. I wanna say the era of bad animation is over, and this arc is a great one for that to happen.

@@Soosss You should check it out and see if you would like it. Eps 1-13 are a bit slow but the pacing gets better later on. It also has a bad start, but also gets better as the series progresses.
