I can not help but feel like the Katydid realistically would have gotten away. It likely wasn't 'rethinking its battleplan', but escaping the Jungle Stalker. However, an invisible hand placed it back down to seemingly aim for an attack from the side.

The Black Jungle Stalker is a personal favorite of mine. It's sad this show couldn't continue. Would've loved to see it again but against a much tougher opponent to really test out it's abilities to the Max.

Karan Rasquinha most o the centipedes used were scolopendrid centipedes, which are absolute monsters. Plus the one centipede killed by a vinegaroon was a very small individual. The geophilid centipede was too small to really harm the spider in its web. If a spider is in its web and catches something, it usually wins. Keyword usually.

They always claim that a certain bug has thick "impenetrable" armor, but then every other predator has mandibles, fangs and stingers that go through any armor. That brings the question: is that armor even doing anything? You know, people stopped using steel plate armor like the knights did in the past because firearms would go through it like butter, armor wasn't advantageous anymore. As for bugs, evolution could go two paths: either double down on the thick armor or ditch it for a lighter build.

The "armor" of these creatures is also their skeleton (invertebrates), so it's holding them together at the very least! Probably more closely related to s tough leather hide than metal armor in practice, though.

I enjoy the show. Non-venoms have trouble beating the venomous ones. The scorpions, spiders, centipedes seem to dominate w/ a few exceptions.

Also, I can't say I'm a huge fan of the vids where a random bug goes against a spider in their web. Those battles and the ones with solitary contenders vs a bunch of ants. They're so pointlessly one-sided it's not even funny. It hurts even more when they try to hype up the threat in spite of how pointlessly one-sided it really is. The only one that felt like there was a legitimate chance of the spider losing was the one with the centipede battling a web-loving spider. The spider actually ran out of web and possibly even its venom.
