In this video, I assemble the wings of this lovely looking aerobatic ARTF, by Black Horse Models.

Great video and a very striking looking aeroplane. I notice you have a different servo tester to the one I have. I've actually had to replace the knob on mine as the one it came with was very small and actually broke. It's a nice little tester though with a nice 7 segment 4 digit LED display. Just out of curiosity, what are the CAA registration requirements (if there are any) for a model aeroplane like this? I do have both the required Flyer ID and Operator ID for my multirotors and my helis. It looks to me like it might be a good first build of a fixed wing for me but I do lack some of the tools. My original plan was to get an RTF model like a Pitts biplane - The E Flite UMX Pitts S-1S being the machine I favour. I do own radio gear so the BNF basic would be perfect. Looking forward to the rest of this build. It does look like it is going to be quite something when it is finished.

Hi Nick, nice to see you! Yes, my servo tester is an el cheapo, but it does the job. I think it cost me £4 delivered from China. The knob comes off easily, so you have to be careful. I am going to order another as I often find myself in the situation of "where is my servo tester?"......lol The CAA regs for this aircraft are the same as your multirotors and helis I believe. Things only change when the model gets big and heavy!!! This one is a tiddler (my kind of model) If you have never flown a fixed wing before, the Sputnik is not the place to start. This is an aerobatic low winger with an almost symmetrical wing section, which is very shallow (so it will be fast due to the low drag) It is not a beginner's model. Am I right in thinking you are a fixed wing beginner? If yes then don't get the Sputnik or similar. If no, then that depends on how confident you are. A Pitts is also not a beginner model, but you may be absolutely fine with it. I don't know your history or competence.

@@SimonWebbRCandModellingChannel I have flown the Pitts on my RC simulator so hopefully I'm capable enough now to control a real one. Yes to being a fixed wing beginner and I would be using electric motor power to begin with. The model I am looking at is also touted as a beginner friendly machine so confidence is fairly high.
