Sorry the video is shorter than usual, but I need to buy Tamiya Rubber Black paint, for the rear of the driving lamps! My apologies guys.

Quality over quantity every time. That's the key. 👍 That Super Hornet is looking great and the black really does pop against those orange wheels. One of the reasons I really want a Blitzer Beetle is because of the wheels. You've done an excellent job on the body but then I expected nothing less. It's given me ideas about a custom paint job on my Rising Fighter and now I know how to go about doing it. I did try posting a picture of my Racing Fighter for you but KZfaq seems to not like links in comments. Anyway, I've actually made a couple of changes to it so I need to take another picture of it. I've taken delivery of my FTX Apache and it is epic. 😁 I'm already thinking of using my electronics know how to customise its LED bar. I'm thinking of a Larson Scanner (think K.I.T.T. in Knight Rider.) There's plenty of space in the chassis so it won't be difficult.

Thanks Nick.....as always a great comment! Yes the FTX Apache is a development of the Rokatan (which I have) and I am very tempted myself. I take it you have the blue one....I will buy the blue one if I decide to get it. The suspension upgrade is interesting. I can report the Rokatan is an absolute hoot to drive so the Apache will be slightly better given the better spec!

@@SimonWebbRCandModellingChannel Oh yes, definitely had to be the blue one. It's only my 2nd brushless so I'm still getting used to the power. It sure does like to roll on the turns. I forgot to mention I'm also close to finally gathering all the extras for my upcoming TT02B build. Nearly there. 😁

@@SpeccyMan Yes they roll....one of the things I like about it is that it is tricky to drive well. I seem to like to rise to a challenge! The Rokatan has a supple set up so the body rolls quite a lot as turns are taken - a very amusing and likable characteristic. This means you only have so much scope for fast corners without risking a roll (as you have mentioned). Practice pays off dividends and soon you are taking fast corners without rolling it.

Hi Simon, the Super Hornet is coming along nicely, a great restoration. The lamps I’m sure will turn out just right too. Don’t get too hung up on the video lengths, I too, think a bit the same….are they too long, short etc….but I think the YT algorithm is looking for the frequency and seem to be pushing hard on shorts. Anyway, sorry if I trying to teach you to suck the proverbial eggs 😂😂😂I’m still a newbie really 😊😊😊. Anyway, just recovering from my 3rd hip replacement and being a typical Taurean (stubborn) and getting back on the hobby table 😂😂😂best wishes 😊😊

Hi John 👍 Yes I tend to aim for 30 mins, but as you know that takes effort and time to achieve. Shorter snappier videos that people frequently watch updates of, might improve things. I am no expert mate. Sorry to hear about the hip....sounds painful. I suffer from Neuralgia which started after a very bad motorbike accident, so I know what suffering is like. I was a bit of a speed freak in my youth. If only I could go back and have a word with my younger self!!!....lol Glad to still be around enjoying my lovely hobbies! 👍Nice to see you! I will catch up with your vids, Mark's vids and Pete's vids soon! All the best.

@@SimonWebbRCandModellingChannel Wow Simon, was just looking through the comments and saw that you suffer with Neuralgia. I too had a horrific motorbike accident when I was 28. Fractured 3 vertebrae, shattering T5 into splinters and breaking all my ribs. Pain became a way of life, but things got worse a couple of years ago with new pains in the chest. I was incorrectly diagnosed with Angina and I had to retire from work, but with no pension. Things are tough mate. After being fobbed off by the docs I did some research and I think Intercostal Neuralgia may be what I'm suffering with. I told the doc and he's arranged a full spine MRI and it's only a week away now! Hope I finally get the correct diagnosis! So I totally relate to your situation. Reading such a coincidence I just had to tell you! Take care, mate!

@@MarkBryanRC That's amazing Mark. Thanks for sharing mate. Yes I had 2 episodes from the same accident. The first one was broken bones....8 in total including breast bone, 5 ribs, clavicle and end of elbow. Then 12 months later I collapsed at a wedding. My stomach had burst open and my diaphragm had split. Open chest surgery saved my life mate....this was in 2003. I am so glad to be alive and able to enjoy my hobbies like I do. Sometimes I get episodes of pain when I can't do anything at all. No amount of pain killers can sort it out. Anyway I am not moaning, just discussing. Coming that close to death makes Tamiya and other fun things seem so much nicer than they already are.....makes you appreciate it a bit more mate. Yes it's good to share these things, makes you realise we are not alone, same here, not complaining, and glad to be alive like you! My wife was told that I would not survive and I was given the last rites! So pleased they were not needed! That second episode you had sounds bloody awful! You must be a strong person to come through that! Wishing you all the best, mate, and if you ever need a chat, please don't hesitate! Cheers, from one survivor to another!
