try watching chinese vlogs or short videos so u get used to different accents/ speaking speed @@rapier1 If you feel more confident, can watch those variety shows like Hello Saturday, or even Chinese dramas. Can start with eng subs or even those chinese subs and then rewatch it without subs

There is China town where I live but most of them don't speak English so I can't converse them. Vietnamese grammar is very simple, the only difficult thing about Vietnamese are the tones. But once you master the tones, all will fall into place pretty quickly

There is another channel called Fel Thommy..in his video Eating In A Chinese Village Apartment… where he is wandering around in a Chinese village and gets invited by an old Chinese lady to her home to eat. Total stranger invites a black man into her home and feeds him. Then another man..I’m not sure if it’s her son or husband comes in and says Why are you eating in my home? He explains and the guys says something like oh ok..and walks away. It’s amazing how welcoming they are.

Chinese people man, they see a camera, and they come out of nowhere to say hello to the world. I like that. Just chatting to the man, not looking down his nose like he is better than him. I have to go to China and Japan, just to see, and experience how they live, food as well, if I was there I am sure I would put on few stones in weight, but very happily though. I love the way they hold up two fingers, make me smile every time.

I'm so surprised by them. They are all saying find a wife and settle down there. It's really nice to see these side of things, I remember seeing another video with Chinese saying the direct opposite. I think it really shows that this is just basically the internet. Where people can say the most horrondous things behind a screen. People out on the streets and you can meet easily are normally very kind and if something isn't for them they would say so without being incredibly mean.
