You can shit on varg for everything he did when he was younger, but you can't shit on how creative the guy is. He's seriously creative and deserved credit when it comes musically.
@creepin_deth Жыл бұрын
Yeah, Varg is clearly not the best person in the world, honestly, you can even say that he is a bad person. But he wrote wonderful music, I would say that Burzum is the best black metal project.

I think Varg deserves the crown of riff master instead of Iommi, as Toni is just influential (Though I think he can solo better).

Yeah total shredding XD sounds like an eleven year old learning how to play
I dont understand this response. Im guessing you are laughing at how ridiculous you find my claim, if so fair enough. You have to realise that Toni riffs are for the most part minimalist which is ok, but its easy to be called a riff machine when you create just basic power chords shapes with heavy distortion. Vargs riffs on the other hand are more rythmically satisfying, faster, more melodic and in some cases more heavy all this with a cool flamenco style technique and tremelo picking. But this is about riffs, Iommi makes awesome solos.

Varg had a "live" recording of this theme with his electric guitar BUT acoustic only, he said that most of his songs use acoustic guitar techniques. Your cover sounds cleaner and overall even better than his "live" recording in some way. Good work man! PD: We need more bands like Burzum...

Well, a cheap electric guitar (not his original) on a wooden table as an amp played by Varg, who probably had not practiced for a good while and who doesn't practice anymore to record for burzum
