Burzum is a musical project by an infamous person. Art has always been about that, Miles Davis was a PIMP Kurt Cobain was a Junkie. Etc. Music is the reflection of time and space of an experience by the Artist. Varg whatever you think of the man. His Music is Timeless.

Exactly. Foro me art is one thing and the personal life of the artist is other thing. Carabaggio was a piece of shit person, a terrible human being, but his painting? Next level talent. I am gonna judge a painting because his paintor was a piece of shit? No. Thats why i dont understand people that judge culture in that sense.

@@raizarslaxterhaha The only time the situation is different when the music reflects the musician being a piece of shit, that's why nsbm is hard to listen to, that's not music anymore.

Varg was someone who actually took action against things he disagrees with. You don’t have to agree with what he’s done but you can’t deny that there was purpose behind many things that he’s said or done.
@thedopaminestop2355 Жыл бұрын
@@XPGrindDeathking the thing is that Varg isn’t even a piece of shit. When I got into black Metal I heard that all the time but then started researching his beliefs and stuff about him and sure I mean he murdered euronymous which was shitty but the burnings definitely weren’t from being a piece of shit. He actively disagreed with Christianity and the things they erased from his heritage to make room for themselves. It’s not fair that the Christians got to destroy anything they disagreed with but then tell other people they can’t touch the church that doesn’t even belong there

You mentioned that you enjoyed the “enchanting feeling” that Transylvanian Hunger evoked, while you were talking about the Burzum track. The man behind Burzum wrote the lyrics to that song for Darkthrone.

I miss Varg's KZfaq channel... I disagree with him on many things but I appreciate his thoughts and opinions none the less. He has no filter and doesn't care about what anyone thinks. Some call him a Nazi but he really isn't. He may seem like it but if you actually hear him out he does make some quality points.
@raizarslaxterhaha Жыл бұрын
He is quite far away from being a NS, in fact its one of those people that truly despise socialism in all forms, and NS goes against his individualistics believes in all forms. But these days people call everything a nazi, and they don't understand what a Nazi is.
@Lunacyk9 ай бұрын
He's a White Nationalist and Separatist. Stop coddling and softening his image. He is EXACTLY what he said he was years ago! And moreso to the point, he's older, but still a whiny, overprivileged, impulsive(at the time) crybaby who premeditated and murdered someone who made fun of his whining and church arson. Great composer and musician doesn't excuse him any more than R. Kelly being a paedophile and kidnapper.

Poison was essentially a Thrash metal band, with a dark Black metal feel to it. Like Bathory and the other 1:st wave Black metal bands were basically just very heavy and dark versions of Thrash metal

Something to note about Poison, as a band that started in the 80's, it also retains more of the 80's black metal sound and style. Rather than what black metal grew into in the 90's and beyond. Also if you want to hear more 80's black metal Sarcofago from Brasil is a good option, songs like Nightmare or Satanas. Treblinka from Sweden is another one, with Hail to Cruelty being a good song option. Then of course there's the pillars of early black metal like Bathory, Hellhammer/Celtic Frost. As well as Mayhem from Norway's early efforts on Pure Fucking Armageddon and Deathcrush, too mention but a few.

Exciting to see the dive into this rabbit hole. Really recommend you check out the bands from Trondheim, Norway. Specifically from the label Terratur Possessions with others. In example: Mare, One Tail One Head, Celestial Bloodshed, Enevelde, Misotheist, Misthyrming, Darvaza, Ritual Death, Whoredom Rife, Manbryne to mention some of the diamonds. These will most likely take you somewhere. (!) Keep it up!
