The bigger a black bear gets, the less pronounced the ears are, making it harder to tell them from a grizzly. In either case, BIG bears demand respect. You can also distinguish bears by their scat. Black bear scat is darker, and usually has berries or grass in it. Grizzly bear poo is lighter in color, has little brass bells in it, and smells like pepper spray.

I thought that part of the objectives for this video was to inform how one reacts differently if one encounters a black bear vs. a grizzly bear? So what should one do??
