Just watched the film. Rey Skywalker, how does Shuri beat a mutant/“god figure” with no training? T’Challa should of been recasted. Or killmonger should of been alive in a cell they released him to defeat Namor then Shuri defeats killmonger when he goes too far or who he stays good. But if they kept the direction they went in they should had Shuri train in the ancestral plain or indicate or show martial arts training or her already being a good fighter in the film.

Very true. Love and Thunder was garbage because there was too much humor (forced tbh) in the movie. The same can be said for She Hulk. I honestly liked the longer runtime, with more time to live in the world, spend time with the characters, and give the difficult moments time to breathe. It reminds me of a return to the pace of movies like Lawrence of Arabia, Ben Hur, The Great Escape, and similar films where you really get some time to inhabit the world, and don't feel the editor constantly pushing and rushing to get to the third act.

I would agree but the moments that I would’ve wanted to be cut from the film was when it didn’t focus on “The World”… aka Wakanda or Tolakan, I loved those settings. It was whenever the movie focused on that white dude or the shield agents. They were completely useless in the movie & could’ve been cut without changing the story at all. Whenever the scene changed to them, I was like “bruh let me see more of Wakanda or Tolakan that’s shits lit!”. But no, instead we gotta watch some old dude with a horny ex-wife for no reason at all.

@@nahor88 I get it but like especially the scene where the horny ex wife (forgive me I honestly can’t remember her name) tells the white dude that Queen Mother is dead, & she knows he took the Wakandan beads. Like we already knew that, nothing important to the plot comes from that scene, & he just gets arrested only to be broken out by the end of the movie. So what was the point? This movie did a really good job by still keeping some humor, but using it at the right time. It didn't completely change the tone of the film like other movies such as 'Thor: Love & Thunder'. That movie felt like a bit of a caricature, but 'Wakanda Forever' actually felt like a movie about grief and mourning -- it didn't lose its identity while incorporating some humor. It was a bit longer than it needed to be and I think the pace jumped around a bit when dealing with some side characters, but overall it was a solid movie. I didn't like it as much as the first movie, but I also don't think it was bad by any means. It was a good movie; very enjoyable. I also think they did about the best possible job they could have considering the loss of Chadwick. They did a flawless job honoring his memory in this movie and it's well worth a watch. This movie felt absolutely genuine and really tugs on the heartstrings.

@@aboriginal3154 The Wakandans were caught off guard cause they never expected a threat to come from the water and get around their defense shield easily and show up right in the middle of the city. Even though they increased their water defenses after Namor came in the first time, clearly he has a way of getting in that they are completely unaware of. Even when Thanos and Killmonger came they saw them coming from miles outside their borders, the idea that an army can show up in the middle of their capital of their country was unheard of. If that happened in the middle of a major city in the US it would take a long time to mobilize troops to do anything about it. Pretty much their only weakness was luring them into a land fight and capturing the king. If Namor decided to not leave the water I'm not sure what the Wakandans would even do at that point. If the Talokanils didn't have so much hubris over their strength in battle, all the needed to do was remain in the water and sink the ship from below.

It came out today in Germany and I just got home from the theater. I agree with everything you’ve said. This kind of heart and emotional weight is what the MCU has been sorely lacking in recent films, and the unfortunate circumstances surrounding the films production notwithstanding should not have been the reason we got a Marvel movie with heart and soul once more.

I think the side plot characters were done perfectly. They impacted this story and hint at things to come. They didn't compromise what was going on at all. A lot better than Thor's disappearing act in Age of Ultron, which was a blatant push for people to be interested in new projects. This was way more subtle. They should be commended. What's interesting about Atlantis being on par technologicaly with Wakanda is the whole notion in itself where Wakanda thought they were the only nation with Vibranium. It shakes them to their very core, of who they are as a people. That's heavy stuff. This, combined with the fact they're facing an enemy in their enemy's backyard or in other unfavorable conditions shows how off they were psychologically. Oh, and they don't have a Black Panther either, so they're already questioning themselves, if not aloud, then in the back of their minds. We see the weapons employed by Atlantis and the things they did scientifically. I see where you're coming from with the 'only having one plane', and agree to a point, but Wakanda hasn't had to bear their full military that we've seen, and what we've seen is them preferring individual warriors to jets, tanks, and ships. So, yeah, it makes sense with all that going on that they weren't able to do better as far as mustering resources, because I wonder how many of those resources that actually have. Because they don't need them. Their shield wall keeps everyone out and they don't have intentions on conquering other nations.

Atlantis is 1000% public domain. They could have had it be Atlantis with zero issues ... they just chose to change it completely. DEFINITELY no legal issues at all. The reason they didn't decide to call it ATLANTIS is because they purposely changed it to include Mayan/Aztec culture to the MCU. It's also not to confuse the average movie watcher who doesn't know the difference in comic books/ MCU / DCEU as they would be confused when watching this movie (since DC used Atlantis for Aquaman). As much as I am a fan of Namor in the comics, I loved this change to include our Mexican brothers and sisters into the MCU. I'm always for more representation!

I really liked him! Tbh I found his response to everything really understandable. The only thing he did wrong was to bypass Wakanda defenses completely in the beginning to talk to the Queen. That made her distrust him instantly and she never let that go. It's that complete distrust that truly led to war. Also, even whilst weakened he gave Shuri the beating of her life lol. She can do a little something but she's not a fighter and the difference in their fighting ability showed. And this is him at his weakest. He's definitely not someone to piss off so looking forward to him in future movies.

Out of curiosity, is it ever touched on in the film that this is technically the second funeral they had for T’Challa? As I’m sure that they gave a similar funeral for when he “died” during the snap. Though then again I guess, it’s been awhile since I’ve seen Endgame, so I don’t remember how many of the main cast Wakandaians were also snapped away (or if the film even ever told us). It’s possible that for them this would still be the first funeral they experienced for them.

Agreed, this film felt like an actual film with good writing and directing, yes cgi fest at times, but Shuris journey was tragic with her losing her brother and mother, and coking full circle mirroring Tchalla at the end of civil war, people are calling it more work msheu crap, but in the case of shuri being the new black Panther, its understandable why they did it, a recast would’ve been good but they would’ve gotten backlash so they chose pass the mantle and unlike all the rushed and sloppily executed female characters of phase 4 Shuri wasn’t your typical Mary Sue like character, she was given a struggle and had to over come it, but people are just bashing on it, calling it wokekanda forever and just shitting all over it, and some people get pissed and dislike the vid cause stuckmann and Jahns actually reviewed it as a movie and not with this crazy anti woke lense or a overally positive one, we need more level headed KZfaqrs

Saw the movie this afternoon and it was great! I highly recommend it! Not as a MCU property per se but, on a quintessential level as a stand-alone movie. It really felt like a movie, not like a parody as Jeremy said it. I am eager to see it again!

We just saw it, and we loved it. Ryan really did a great job considering the situation they were thrown into, and the personal loss they had to deal with during this. They really honored Chadwick. And the acting from so many of them was great!

I think it was kind of weird when Namor was playing "Marco Polo" when he was in battle against Wakanda's forces. It was also weird when the shark from 'Jaws' showed up and said "N-YUK N-YUK N-YUK!"

I personally came into this movie thinking that it could never top the first and that it would be a disappointment but I was happily proven wrong this movie has not only topped the first Movie It has soared up to become my new number one favourite movie ever created right above Entergalactic and Avatar (the James Cameron one)
