Honestly....Ozzy is still great...40 years later. He has never been a "pure vocalist" in the vein of Halford/Dickinson/Tate/Dio. But he was and still is is a master of making vocal melodies.

I think he sounded pretty bad when he got old. But young Ozzy is above anyone in my book.

The 2 albums Sabbath put out before Ozzy left are career lows in my opinion. Never say die is the only Sabbath album to ever successfully bore me. The band was going through a lot of issues at the time too. I definitely wouldn't call this a career high. Fantastic performance though and I'd kill to have been able to it in person.

Sharon is a very good soul. When she first wanted to push Ozzy's solo career after he left Sabbath she found him in a hotel he'd been holed up in for some time. There were pizza boxes everywhere and remnants from hundreds of drug couriers and she jumped off square in his shit, picked him up and fell in love with him. He said later if that hadn't happened he was going to die in that hotel room, that he had already accepted that. He was depressed from leaving Sabbath and said he had given up. This is why he has never, and will never be without Sharon. Not a perfect love story, but a very true love story.....
