The way Akainu is going after Luffy you’d think his wife cheated on him with Dragon or something.

Akainu keep going after luffy because; 1) He is dragon's son. 2) He already knew that luffy is capable of using conquerer's haki that will potentially become bigger threat to them in future.

It's not an explanation, marco has no idea how blackbeard did that. He just has information that the audience doesnt know that blackbeard body is alot different than regular people from spending so much time with him back when he was a whitebeard pirate. If i was akainu I'd see luffy more of a threat than BB at the moment..... His father and grandpa both has conquerer and were able to attain peak with conqurer haki. If his father and grandpa could do it then luffy will surely be able to do it too. Also now that they learnt that luffy has conqurer haki, luffy seems more of a threat in a long term(remember the marine don't have much data on BB during marineford arc).

You really can’t get mad at the navy because 1. Sengoku didn’t give them the order to attack Blackbeard not to mention it was already chaotic as it is and 2. They would have no idea that he was gonna take Whitebeard’s DF because everyone thought that having 2 DFs would automatically kill you plus Blackbeard’s crew was guarding him.

People are happy that whitebeard died cuz to most ppl, whitebeard is just a pirate. One of the worst pirate even, because all the civilians' infos are from newspapers that are influenced by the gov. The navys are only watching because they werent giving the orders to attack. Sengoku didnt give the order because 1. The situation is chaotic and he may not even be close to the situation. 2. Blackbeard was not a threat atm. 3. No one knew BB could take WB's power. Akainu would rather take Luffys life because Luffy is a bigger threat than BB atm. Atm, Blackbeard is only a strong warlord that any admiral could take on, but luffy has potential to be the king. Im pretty sure akainus mind was set the moment he saw luffys haki.

Why not attack now? You always make that point, but the positive of the discomfort is the discrepancy in the sense of time and distance when the manga is animated. Toei prefers to exacerbate that misalignment by lengthening it further without adjusting it.

As horrible as Akainu is, I admire how driven he is to complete his goals. He views Ace and Luffy as the biggest threats, and he is doing everything he can to make sure they are eliminated. He completed the navy’s goal to kill Ace, told Ace he wants to get both brothers, and even after being attacked and injured by Whitebeard, he will still get up to complete his mission. In this arc he’s a tenacious killing machine and the MVP for the marines.

Just a refresher, back in Jaya when Luffy met BB in Mock Town, him and Zoro referred to BB as they/them and not he/him

By the way the first appearance of Akainu is not here in Marineford,, it's was on Ohara incident,, he the one who order to fire the evacuation ship

To all of your questions about Akainu there is just one simple anwer. Akainu is HIM. He is one of the strongest characters alive,if not the strongest. This guy has top tier stats(especially durability),top tier haki+ top tier fruit

Oda has been hinting that there is something up with Blackbeard prior to this but yes keep in mind there is something SPECIFICALLY TO HIS BODY that allows him to do this

Luffy and Blackbeard is two side of the same coin. You can see it in Jaya when he was eating the pie with Luffy. Oda will show you that Blackbeard will do anything to achieve the One Piece. Doesn’t matter if it’s the dirty way or not. Luffy will go through way and beyond to achieve the One Piece. That is why we love our captain 👏🏼

My theory has been that he has a genetic difference, one that acts as a fail safe to extreme conditions of the island he was born and grew up on. With that genetic difference, he has multiple organs which increases their chance of survival, and the appendix (or appendices for him) are the organ that stores DF, changes bodily chemistry, and makes the use of fruit abilities possible. His anatomy allows him to use two devil fruits without issues. Nobody really knows exactly what the appendix did since it's pretty much vestigial. Oda can tie real world lack of knowledge in anatomy into the story as a neat little "what if.. the appendix had a crazy role in daily life at one point in the ancient past?" Fun fun.

my own take on why they didn't attack teach and his crew. 1) the admirals and the bigger dogs were attacking the retreating pirates and mainly getting luffy since his potential was so high that whitebeard himself put a lot of faith in him and him being dragon's son. 2) they probably didn't have the man power to take them on. remember that teach had 4 level 6 criminals on his crew now, and having the head jailer on his side too. i saw a few vice admirals near them but i don't think they could take them. and given what we now know about what they can do, they would've gotten washed.

I think the marines' response (or lack thereof) to Teach's stunt can be chalked up to anime pacing issues, more than anything. In the manga, everything happens at a much snappier pace, but.... y'know, different mediums and all that, lol. 😆 And regardless of how you may feel about him, it can't be denied at this point that Akainu is a freaking beast. Dude tanked TWO direct blows from Whitebeard, yet he's *still* going after Luffy. In some ways, I'd say he's even _more_ of a monster than old man Newgate.....

Think the theory that Blackbeard is either a special race where he's somehow able to have more than devil fruit at a time or he has some crazy backstory element that somehow explains (some One Piece magic maybe) We still don't really know to this day.

my assumption that akainu had some conflict with dragon that we don't yet know about. I believe Dragon was once an admiral and rebelled against the government.

So, there have been many theories circulating among us One Piece readers and viewers that Blackbeard has 3 personalities. You can re-watch this when Luffy, Zoro, and Nami first meet Blackbeard at the bar, where they were previously beaten up by Bellamy and his men. When they came out of the bar, they met Blackbeard who mentioned Skypiea. As Luffy, Zoro, and Nami were about to leave, Nami said that why don't they fight him or something, but Luffy and Zoro immediately corrected and said that it wasn't him, but "them". From this, there are many theories and conclusions that Blackbeard has more than one personality, not just two but three. It can also be proven from the Blackbeard's pirate flag which has three skulls. Many theories say that each of the personalities can have their own devil fruit, which means there is still one more devil fruit that Blackbeard is aiming to have.

Oda isn't just saying Teach is "built different" "Body structure can mean a lot of things and since Marco says "As you guys know" it's something that you wouldn't know just by looking at him but would find out if you where in a crew with him. There is also the fact that Zoro and Luffy on Jaya refered to blackbeard as "They" There is something more going on with Blackbeard that we don't know about.

If you’re wondering about blackbeard on how he manage to get a second devil fruit…. we’re not so sure yet. But he might have like 3 personality/souls. If you look at his flag, he have 3 skulls, 3 guns. Teach does not sleep. Cause i’m guessing when his other self sleep, the other one awake. Another moment you both might forget is when Luffy and Zoro called Blackbeard “Them” and not “Him” in Jaya and Nami was confuse with that.

The whole Blackbeard taking and now having 2 Devil Fruits isnt even a plothole any more. It's big ol' looming mountain of mystery and speculations. But we're inching closer to a big reveal. Oda just cooking that sauce. Like a 100 course meal. Like Enel becoming a good guy after helping the moon people.

It's not shown or anything but I tend to think the reason the Navy just stood around and let Blackbeard do whatever he was doing with Whitebeard's body was because Lafitte had them in a trance so they wouldn't attack.

i think this episode is the best time to explain what i thought.. blackbeard is a walking inconsistency.. he's so pride yet so coward at the same time, he's strong but very weak at the same time, he's smart but idiotic at the same time, and a dreamer but a quitter at the same time... oda really made him a 100-0 person also about his devil fruit.. even at the current chapters there's still little we know about his df, but one thing is for sure, blackbeard takes damage, much more if the attack isnt a devil fruit related.. you all speculating that because bb is logia, he doesnt take damage, he only takes the pain..no, he recieves the damage also but inreturn he can absorb other devil fruit's power.. thats what he said and thats what's been happening

We still don’t really know whats up with Blackbeard so i just can share some common theories without spoiling. 1. the darkness fruit somehow allows him to have multiple fruits, i think it would be too obvious but that would explain why he thinks its the strongest df, the other feats aren’t that great against strong haki users and its even worse than normal logias as he still can take dmg. 2. Blackbeards body is somehow weird was dropped several times, however i don’t think its literally his body but either he himself as i will explain in point 3. 3. Blackbeard is not only 1 but several persons, most likely 3, he has the theme of number 3 going everywhere even in his jolly roger and will most likely have 3 fruits in the end. If a person eats multiple df they explode however if you are multiple personalities or have multiple souls or whatever it could work. It was also stated that blackbeard never sleeps which could mean that another blackbeard takes over. Also his personality changes almost every time we see him and also his missing teeth are always different. So i am pretty sure he is like multiple people and there are even extending theories to this which would be spoiler territory

When a user of the fruit dies, the power itself passes to the first fruit they find nearby, so that another person can eat it and gain that power 🍈

In Mock Town! Luffy and Zoro said “THEM” and also Teach never sleep, probably because of his race and the Yami Yami no Mi’s power that’s why he can take another devil fruit, Teach actually smart…

I hope you aren’t hoping for an explanation about teach’s body anytime soon, even if you’re caught up in the manga, we still have no idea. 😢
