My band added this song because one member's dad wants to play on stage with us at his retirement party. He figured he could swing the rhythm guitar part. We played it for the first time last Friday and he was like "oh shit, I better practice". But the real story was the crowd totally responded and instantly filled the dance floor. I was surprized so many people would recognize the song especially since it was a young-ish crowd. I guess that is why they call some music "timeless".

Great high-energy version of this song - but it still was missing something without a blazing harmonica solo (or intro). It's no secret that Ricky's grandpa, Shorty Medlocke, wrote the song & played the original harmonica parts in 1981 ...he was probably gone before this concert having died in July '82. R.I.P. I respect the hell out of the Allman Brothers and Skynyrd and like my fair share of their songs, but I have always liked more ballsy guitars and that is why Blackfoot has always been my southern jam of choice. they used to tell us when we hit it big you guys will never have to pay for a concert. Well sometime after that they played a show at the convention center in Asbury Park. I took a bed sheet and made a big black foot banner on it. And the two O's in Blackfoot I painted to black feet, obviously lol. And at the bottom I painted how come we had to pay to get in? My sister posted up on stage after their first song. I believe they were there promoting a new album. After the first song they stop playing and opened it up on stage. And after looking at it and giggling a little bit. He walks over to the mic and says it looks like we have some friends in the crowd from back home. And they're really pissed off about the price of admission lol. After that they pretty much played the whole rest of the show just for us. And played all of their old early originals. I'm 55 years old now and living by the beach in Cocoa Beach Florida. Then to this day it was one of the very best nights of my life. Thank you for all the great memories Blackfoot we all appreciated it

@ Becky Not too many mountains in my South, which would be Florida. But we've got some kick ass beautiful snow white beaches. I've lived in other places. briefly and was so homesick I couldn't wait to get home; It's not just geography, it's a state of mind, a like kinship, a shared accent, that slow soft sound, my sound. I listen to interviews from Medlocke, RVZ, Gary Rossington and Leon Wilkeson, to name a few and it's music to my ears. No wonder they made such great music.

The UK really loved these guys. They showed up there right around the time that the whole NWOBHM scene was in full swing, and for whatever reason the headbangers over there absolutely adored what Blackfoot was playing.

Saw these guys in the mid-70s in Jacksonville, with Shorty Medlocke there to play the harp intro. They were opening for Terrible Ted, and both bands were awesome!

Friends, Music has changed so much and always will keep changing and redoing songs..The true artists of the 70s knew one of many things, and that was how to put on a show . Music was real, and it was heartfelt. When you left a show , you were soaked in sweat, and knowing you seen one of the greatest concerts ever! Those days are gone! But remember them and that keeps them alive! All that all the bands out there today, are doing what THERE fans want, and making there fans world a better place
