Ever since that Heart of Darkness comic by Romita Jr i always thought Blackheart was badass, and of course the capcom artists nailed his design perfectly like they do : D

His sprite and portrait art are amazing. Capcom's work on this series at that time was really out of this world, better than everything else (fgs) made on the cps2. To me the series' technical standards peaked around MSH and XvSF.

Capcom totally nailed those games in the 90s. Perfect art, character design, playstyles. Absolute top of their game and they made Marvel's characters look so good.

That one company that puts out the arcade cabs put one out that has X-Men CotA all the way to MvC2. I don't know if it's been released yet or not, but Justin showed it off a while ago. Online play too.

I love how 2 grunting sound effects to a character like Iron Man can give the game so much personality and charm. This is actually gone in modern games.

We had this cabinet in my bowling alley as a kid and Black Heart always stood out to me. Just looked so damn cool. Wish he would come back in a future game.

This game every character was top tier and especially with those gems.. this will always be my favorite of all time Capcom fighter.. its a classic Black heart had one of the slowest best crossups, you see it coming..but got...lol

I remember a nice story about this character, in the arcade I played, this guy was the king of mashers, and he was over an hour taking heads with this character, seriously over an hour of people fighting him, a masher, and nobody could win. I arrived, saw 2 or 3 matches, asked everyone to try once, everyone knew me back them, but nobody knew my main was shuma gorath, as I always played with iron man too, but this time I went with shuma gorath, I ended the guy with one perfect and one chip damage. After 3 challenges, everyone understood that it was my main, and nobody challenged me with shuma anymore. After that day, I was forbidden to play shuma in challenges in that arcade, unless it was against non frequent guys, or specific challenges against my shuma, BTW that arcade really had BOP rules and everyone followed them, this was my first ban, but not the last.

Very nice combo: early Marvel game; high level sweaty set; less common opponent character; and japanese player, because they dont play these games a lot like other franchises

Blackheart is more broken in Marvel Super Heroes Vs Street Fighter. Especially when you team him with Mephisto. You can lock Cyber Akuma down and chip him out.

Man, that MSH V SF cabinet was right beside the manager's office. Guy knew when I was there because all you could hear was the blocking sound and demons when I was playing. He would shut the machines off 10 minutes before closing and I always thought it was to make the noise stop
