Blackheath is located a little further up the Blue Mountains from Katoomba, about a 3-4hr drive from Sydney. This part of the Blue Mountains has heaps of beautiful waterfalls canyons and long walks to keep you amused for days.
The Grand Canyon walk was about an 11 km loop from the Grand Canyon Carpark, heading up the hill first to Nellies Glen, through the Grand Canyon then back out at Evans Lookout. for a better view of the water falls, I recommend walking in the other direction so you are heading into the water as it comes down the canyon. I was continually stopping to turn around and see the water.
