@@ItsDazYT the problem is that the Devs kept picking a fight with PWE, thus PWE did their dirty tactics to 'bring them to heel'.

Honestly this game should be a faded memory. It was fun on PC while it lasted. This game and I go way back. I prestiged in this game about 17 times before the PC servers shut down roughly 3 years ago. So many people were excited for PC update, but when it hit so many people quit. The game felt floaty and they got rid of "pure maps." When the PC servers shut... man. I was online when the server devs reminded the people and gave a 5min heads up. Everyone went to Metro and counted down in the Chat, no one even killed each other. Very surreal moment. Servers were so small, I basically knew every single vet. Princeara, SomeDayALegend, KillerGhost, McFizzy504, German Astronaut, Sonico. We all formed a clan called OneOfTheLastOnesLeft(1L1L) it was probably the most active clan in the US servers.

Middle of the night and got the sudden realization that this game existed, man so much nostalgia..... we need a Blacklight Retribution 2, this game was a underrated gem

In my opinions, blacklight retribution is the best game to play due to it's quality and graphics but that's not the only changes to make up blacklight, gameplay also is important because when you're passive, you could get a bunch of free kills and as well as XP and money, that is why blacklight retribution is better than any other games out there but also, what i liked about it is the weapons but when i use submachine gun, i killed so many people so easily as it was a regular gun but infact, WAY better and that is why blacklight retribution is better than any other games out there and it's free too.

@@ItsDazYT there is a petition to bring the game back via creating dedicated servers ran by a group of fans, the idea being to revive the game on all platforms again. Although honestly I'd love to see a full reboot/resurection of the franchise, maybe with a game that has a single player/co-op campaign that dives into the universe of Blacklight, but still retains Retribution's PvP gamemodes and unique PvP elements. I really loved this franchise's concept and I was super sad to know that on PC it's virtually unplayable, and since I can't afford a Playstation or another subscription based gaming account (I already pay a lot for Xbox Live Gold) I don't know if I'll ever be able to play this game again. Hopefully the petition revitalizes interest into the the game at least, and maybe there's still some hope for Blacklight as a whole.

@@ItsDazYT with the recent repopularization of Cyberpunk 2077 and the Cyberpunk genre in general I think by all means games in similar settings like Blacklight may make a surprise come back, at least I'm optimistic that that might happen, one can hope after all!

It sucks that they don't update it that much or at all. I remember when they added all the new ammo types which are quite cool. Or when they made changing your gender free. In my opinion 10/10 this was my favorite game when I was younger and is still my top 5

I played this game so much back in 2015 ish on ps4. Looked it up here on yt cuz it randomly popped into my head and all the fun times I had on the game, haven't played since like 2016

When I got my PS4 back in October 2014, I've play the hell out this game, and was pretty badass at it! Even made a couple montages (though I had to delete the first one because I use copyrighted music, and put a disclaimer that no infringement was intended.) Played it steady until Titanfall 2 come out. But it and Rocket League got me started making content on my channel!

Man me and the squad would play hide and seek and other game mode we made up back in 2015-16 but we all got older and stopped playing around 2017. Good times

That's crazy cause I remember when I was playing on ps 4 they said that the game was shut him down but I guess we're just shutting down the places and 4 so I guess on the pc side it's still technically running because you know on pc you can use you can have multiple service so that's kinda great admire she downloaded from a steam deck if it's still available

Blacklight Retribution is the best game I've played. I invested so much money and in the end the game was just Down! Played so many times in clanwars with RedMercse,ImDrawn,DaBestUsername and many other good players. It was always fun, played for hours without getting bored! I miss the time so much :(.... your xxchriskylexx from Team AP3X.

They should run an ad on youtube. Then when that generates players theyll get money to fix the bugs and glitches. Then make another ad and it's an upwards cycle.

The biggest disappointment that BLR made was them shutting down pc servers and the atrocity that was the parity patch. Was more of a parody patch then anything. They butchered the hell out of one of my favorite pc gamea

A lot of people would rather plug their ears and yell at the top of their lungs instead of accepting the fact that Parity did some pretty good balance changes that were sorely needed. ... and I say that as a long-time player of the game (basically during open beta I was there, tag is CReplica).

@@misio87 recoil always was a goddamn mess; most of the updates were trying to tweak recoil. I remember SMG/HAR sniper rifles, I remember when the BSMG was _garbage_ in every sense, I remember when no one would carry anything other than stock AR because it made a mockery of every other weapon... Remember, I've played BL:R for _years_ and felt that the Parity Patch was a step in the right direction. Not the best step but still a step in the right direction.

Sadly I loved this game I was one of the best players in it , but Im not gonna get a console just to play it again . I loved going trough the enemy players with nothing but my sonic tomahawk . Edit : Id kill people to play it again on PC 💀.

I’m glad there are so many BR veterans in my comments section, really cool to see! Hopefully some sort of Remastered version gets re-released in the future on PC, or something like that.
