This is 12K sample footage from the new URSA mini pro 12K.
Video files were transcoded to ProRes 422 in Davinci Resolve, graded in FinalCut Pro, and then exported in ProRes 422 for upload here on KZfaq.
Compression Ratios
Clip 1 - Constant Q5 (180MB/s) @24fps
Clip 2 - Constant Q1 (361MB/s) @24fps
Clip 3 - Constant Q1 (361MB/s) @24fps
Clip 4 - Constant Q3 @48fps

Do you know what kind of lenses were used in the first two shots? And also - does braw to prores work smoothly?

Works fine on my pocket 4k without any hiccups, however, I have to use the licensed version of DaVinci.

Did you have the chance to get the camera or did yoi only grade it?

Unfortunately no, I have only handled the 4.6K URSA, but they are exactly the same. I only worked with the official sample clips from BMD in this video.

I honestly don't see any difference between this and bmpcc4k footage... Who has a computer and TV that can handle 12K anyway? Looking forward to your A7S III videos.

That is exactly my first impression. Besides the sheer resolution, the image quality is pretty much the same as any other BMD camera.

Why this 8k footage not playing in my pc (7700k reached 99% and GPU 10%) But no problem with other 8K footages CPU using only 20% and playing smooth (GPU 80%)

Because somehow the footage here is actually 12K @24fps, idk how, but it is LOL

@@poopsie117 No it's not. 8k max. You change choose the resolution.

Still prefer character over resolution. The Alexa Classic 2K still better in my subjective opinion

@@animatter2000 you can see at 1:00 it look like shoot from a phone. It have very less dynamic range as compare to other cinema cameras.

Is that high of a resolution necessary? 1080p is good enough.

True, as mentioned in the editing video where I color grade the footage, it's very hard to imagine any scenario where a film maker or content creator would need all of that 12K resolution to be honest.

I would think it'll come in handy for framing and experimenting with your composition in post, especially when you are making narrative films.

No 1080p isn't enough. For me 6k is the sweetspot

The clever thing is that the new sensor design means that you can shoot RAW at any resolution without a crop.You could just use it as a 4k camera.
