A lot of chat reactions in this one and it's the last chat reactions video for Battlefield 5. Hope you guys enjoy it for those that like this sort of thing. If anyone has a better or more appropriate word than legendary let me know I was just trying to make the title something a little more unique and extra considering the duration and significance of the video, there are some real winners in this one :)
These are some of the moments while playing Battlefield 5 when I happen to record what triggered someone to make hackusations, rage or say something funny, in the in-game chat aka their reactions.
Something I thought I should bring up or mention so others are aware is that quite a few DICE developers tend to go on a month vacation after a Battlefield game is released since they are usually working nonstop until that release date. The reason I bring it up is because of Battlefield 2042's release date being delayed that month of vacation can end up being quite close to the holiday break that a lot of companies have. Usually DICE will put out a large patch early December that fixes major bugs or issues and has a few balance tweaks if some are necessary however with the schedule being shifted I'm not sure we'll get a major patch or update until January or February. Just something to keep in mind.

I love it so much how the most vocal "Bullshit, cheating hacker - how did you know?????" players are always the ones prone in the middle of a road, or running with no cover whatsoever. Mate it's not wallhacks when you're doing your best impression of a scarecrow standing in a field.

It would also help if they bought a better Monitor, Headset, Mouse and Keyboard and ditch the cheap dollar store setup that they bought. These do matter in a competitive game.

Really? That is a regular occurrence in BF5, it's related to occlusion culling. Basically the player model is off screen not being rendered and only gets placed when the game thinks you have line of sight on the player. I see this all the time in BF5 and in BF1 it was there but just angled differently as the models were below the map so they'd zip across your screen horizontally, I have videos on that by the way. I brought this up recently because I was worried how this would be handled in BF2042 because it only gets worse or more noticeable with more players and since they increased the player count and didn't change how they handled occlusion culling it was pretty bad in the beta.

I assume that's the occlusion culling doing a shoddy job at optimizing performance in-game. I don't know the exact science behind it but I've seen it happen even in single player games. (PC or NPC models out view do a wonky jerk into place when suddenly in line of sight.)

@@Ravic Does it happen more often running scout? I've barely touched the snipers in 5 so far. Also could have something to do with the fact that I probably only have 100~ hours in the game. BFV just isn't as fun to me as 4 was.

@@vizionz9755 It sometimes comes down to a person's eyes and what draws their attention. After seeing it so much in editing videos it's something I constantly notice while playing Battlefield games. It has nothing to do with running scout. It's occlusion culling, to save on resources for the client especially those with minimum hardware requirement type clients they don't render all 64 players or their player models. They'll render them if they are within your field of view but only if you have line of sight on them. It's why sometimes you can get shot by what looks like invisible players on your screen or players that instantly appear when you think there should have been more time before they started firing. By the way this has been an issue since BF3, I've included instances of it happening in BF3, BF4, BF1, and BF5 random + wtf videos, often times it looks like their player model is zooming in from off screen or it just appears out of thin air. It's something DICE has never put enough effort into and they took what was in BF5 and carried it over into BF2042, which is also why this issue is going to become more noticeable because the more players on screen the more this issue will occur especially on lower tier hardware specs.

Best of also wouldn't be very accurate as that usually implies a compilation of clips from previously uploaded videos at least when it comes to YT best of type videos. Those other suggestions you guys mentioned are quite the clickbaits, I'll try to remember them for future videos but I tend to avoid that kind of clickbait.

Ravic any reason why you don't use jets anymore? I got recommended you F35 BF2 video, but I don't remember seeing you fly again in later Battlefield titles.

Flight model in BF2 was the best for Battlefield. It came from the BF1942:Desert Combat devs and we lost that really good flight model when DICE rebooted the Battlefield franchise on the Frostbite engine. Now jets and planes or their flight models feel wrong and the center mass feels off to me every time I get in one and fly around. It's not satisfying anymore and besides they took all the skill out of jets by adding in 3D spotting to infantry and things like rocket pods or ezmode "your bomb here" third person reticles.

Community managers taking time off isn't a big deal they don't "fix" or "update" the game, it's the decision making developers/managers that take that month off and nothing can get officially done until they are back.

recently started to get back into the game, but i feel like there some delay on the mouse when i play bf5, is there an option to make the sensitivity sort of the same as bf4 or bf1?

Hard to say as they share the same sensitivity scaling so it should feel the same with the same sensitivity set in each of those games. You could try turning off some of the buffering options in the graphical settings like Future Frame Rendering. Also try running it in Dx11 instead of Dx12. For it to not feel the same between those games when given the same sensitivity usually means either something else changed in your game settings or something changed in your PC setup/configuration whether that is software or hardware changes.

Occlusion culling, to reduce performance hit of rendering players and their animations if they are not in a player's view or line of sight don't render them. Lots of games do this however Battlefield has handled this very poorly ever since BF3. Since that player was technically not visible to me or my character's perspective until I came around the corner of that trench it didn't try rendering their player model until that point, which is why you see the player's player/rendered model drop in from the sky. They are stored off screen or outside of the map to improve performance for the clients/players and then snapped back down to the player when they need to be rendered for someone viewing them. BFV and BF2042 stored them in the sky or above the map. BF1, BF4, and BF3 stored them under the maps, it was sometimes less noticeable in those games depending on the situation or surface you were on but I have examples from all those games in Random + WTF videos where you'll see their player model fly across the ground to where it's supposed to be or slow rise out of the ground. For most it goes unnoticed because it's only a few frames but for me it's jarring for me since I see it all the time.

@ravic what specialist did u play with the most during beta and which do you see yourself using or that looks to be the best in the full release?

I played a lot of Mackay in the beta because of the grappling hook and the passive perk that speeds up the specialist when aiming down sights across all weapon classes. I messed around with the others but outside of running the old lady that can self-heal faster nothing else was really sticking out as far as those four Specialists go. Hard to say what will be "the best" at release since they have supposedly made changes to some and we haven't even played with the other four specialists. There will likely be a "meta" specialist or all-rounder specialist that a lot of people use and at the moment my guess would be Mackay for the core game modes.

@@samuel_3874 I don't know that I'd call the Assault class in BF1 meta, I'd say it was a broken class or broken by design with how many explosives DICE gave it and the types of weapons it could equip. That one Specialist that has Widowmaker-like ESP abilities might be broken but if it can get abused well enough for some reactions and also get it nerfed in the process I'd probably play it.

Sure there is enough, I literally don't have enough time to edit and upload all of the remaining before BF2042's early access. However the question is why would I make a leftovers video? Battlefield 5 isn't exactly popular to the majority at the moment.

Not likely to happen at least not in the next four to five years. BC2's campaign was bad or an insult when compared to how original and good BC1's campaign was. BC2 just went back to the "oh lets be like COD" singleplayer story.

@@Ravic Totally agree on BC1 vs. BC2's campaign. BC1 gave you freedom to attack missions at your discretion, along w/ golf carts (most importantly.) BC2 was much more linear. There is no doubt Call of Duty 4 & it's following iterations had a major impact on nearly all FPS shooters post 2007 release. (BC1 2008 & BC2 2010, when MW2 came out & COD was all the range.)

@@bertster28 BC1 was DICE saying "nah we don't need to be serious to make a good SP game", and it worked great, I've replayed that campaign so many times just because of the cutscenes and voiceovers. It's a great, cheesy story and it makes fun of COD and other franchises in the process. I don't think we'll ever get to see that kind of game again, at least not from DICE Sweden.

@@Ravic Same here. I've played through BC1 CP more than a few times. It's unfortunate that the whole FPS genre got swayed ($$$ plays a huge role, as we saw COD get so much so quickly.) Thanks for the reply, although I haven't touched BF in years, I still enjoy your content and it helped me become a better BF player back in the day. I think I've been watching your content for almost a decade now. You totally inspired me to get into editing videos and having cool, smooth transitions, along with other effects. I transitioned away from BF to Operation Flashpoint Dragon Rising after being bummed about all the changes in BF3 once it released (broken, unplayable, etc.)... Unfortunately Code Masters killed PSN servers back in Oct 2012 for Op Flashpoint, thus I picked up BF3 again heavy then basically into 2013, but I knew I was done with that genre as it moved more towards COD and was uninterested in going onto BF4. I eventually joined the PC master race, and hopped on the ARMA 2 ACE/ACRE game. Along with Day Z. I also enjoyed the Red Orchestra 2 & Rising Storm series, using tactics I saw you use in BF to annihilate people in other games. I pretty much only play Rising Storm 2 now these days when I do game. I think you should look into " '83" (83thegame.com), it's a cold war based shooter. It would be something Different for you, Mus1k & Fedge to try out. It is pretty much the successor of Rising Storm 2.
