I can’t believe this was so long ago already. They played this when I saw them in Brighton in June 2007, with my 79 year-old mother - her first rock (folk, renaissance)concert. It was one of the most memorable concerts of my life and this was one of the most memorable songs of the night.

Dudue you're right, this isn't Rainbow or Deep Purple, it's somethig different in all aspects but wow!!! this is beautiful!!!!!!! Candice has a great voice and Ritchie is a great guitar player a musician!!! I love Rainbow, Deep Purple and Blackmore's Night. Long Live The Man In Black!!!!!!

Ritchie Blackmore's "showcase" of extraordinarily talented vocalists: Gillian, Hughs, Coverdale, Bonnet, Turner, Dio, Doogie White, Candice Night. Ritchie Blackmore is a true Guitar God . There is no comparison of his guitar skill to any other musicians that I have heard. Ritchie Blackmore is #1.

Outstanding the band is insanely Great I hear some Deep Purple in there my hat goes off to all of you the drummer and bassist are locked in a pocket I don't need to mention anything about the incredible range and change up the vocalists can produce Mr Blackmore you are King brother and it looks like you found your queen you two are Blessed

да, риччи, разумеется, гитарный гений, но композиция эта слабовата, слишком много общих мест, а вот кандис сделала очень много, прямо словно песня для нее была написана, брамса пианист закрутил тоже лихо, думаю, не у первого ли квинтета брамса риччи кое чего натырил

Какие нахрен гении, бас ты услышал? Кто первый раз слышит это произведение не поймёт гармонию. Бас гитарист вообще не понимает, что он играет, зная Ричи я думаю он "похвалил" всю команду за "гениальную" игру после концерта, потому что это ДОРОГО стоит, мажор бля в миноре

Ritchie Blackmore is the greatest guitar player that is and will ever be. Masterful guitar work on this, my favorite Rainbow tune. No offence to Candice but Doogie White nailed the vocals on Ariel.

Did somebody else say Candice couldn't sing? There's one or two of those on every board. She has a strong midrange that's like velvet even when she projects a lot of volume, and, her pitch is excellent. You don't hear that lady go flat. This isn't my favourite song from them but her vocal sections are the best parts of it. The instrumental segments ramble at times but that's okay. Nobody hits a bulls eye every time out. This is a good band and Candice is just fine.

I definitely prefer the Rainbow version with Doogie White singing, but I still enjoy listening to this version. Ritchie Blackmore can do no wrong in my eyes. He is still touring to this day and has been doing music since the 60's. He is a living legend for sure.

Not a big fan of BN, but this was well done. I agree that she needs to stretch it a bit more. Great point! Stays within her comfort zone, which is okay..Blackmore is insanely talented.
