in this video, I will show you how to upgrade your PATHFINDER SURVIVAL BLANKET with a simple DIY mod. This blanket is not only a great product for outdoor skills classes, but also a versatile tool for camping, hunting, or emergency situations. It has an aluminum reflective side that can keep you warm and signal for help, and a durable nylon side that can be used as a blanket, tarp, or shelter. By adding some #36 bankline and duct tape, you can make it even stronger and more functional. Here are the steps:
Find the center of the blanket and mark it with a pen or marker.
Cut a piece of #36 bankline that is long enough to go from one corner to the opposite corner of the blanket.
Tie a loop through the grommet at each corner and secure it with a knot.
Cover the bankline with a strong duct tape like T-Rex2 to reinforce the blanket and prevent tearing.
Repeat the same process for the other two corners.
Now you have a survival blanket that has four loops at each corner that you can use to stake it down or hang it up. You can also use the bankline as a ridge line for making a tent or a hammock. This mod will make your blanket last longer and give you more options for using it in different scenarios.
