I grew up in a family of actual Christians of faith, who did their best to live by the teachings of Jesus Christ. I distinctly remember the warnings about false prophets who would be sent to test people's faith. And the one where God selected the Jews as His special people, who would suffer and be persecuted by dark forces among mankind. According to the Bible, God doesn't see abortion as a sin, either. If a man gives a woman a potion to drink so that she no longer will be with child, he will not be punished for it unless the woman also dies. That makes sense, considering how God also said that a child comes to life at the first breath of air, and never said that women and girls were creations of a lesser God. Political Christians have cherry picked the abominations onto God, the commandments and the Bible verses that best suit their political ambitions, lust for power and money and sanctimonious "better than thou" views of themselves. They have discarded the entire New Testament and teachings of Jesus Christ and every part of the Old Testament that would be bad for them. Christian Nationalists are political Christians. They certainly don't worry about going to Hell for their sins on Judgement Day. They use the fire and brimstone speech to put the fear of God into the hearts of the people they want to control. And there are not only two genders either, by the way. The Old Testament describes hermaphrodites. As far as I'm concerned, God created all people, and loves us all equally. .
