Same, loved the song except for the chorus and ratata part. Now, I vibe to the chorus so much. Still iffy about the ratata part though, could have introduced a key change and had a third chorus. I added the song to my playlist though. Lisa and Jennie killed it with the rap and Rosé and Jisoo's vocals were amazing.

They had to learn rap in idol training cause that's they were assigned to do by their company. Their knowledge of rap and hip hop history is close to zero as they show it in a recent interview.

It also has a music video-their most expensive to date, and they pushed it to radio and streaming platform playlists. Albums don’t always have just one single, so I’m not sure why so many people are calling it a b-side.

That’s exactly what I noticed. A few of the reactors I normally watch who reacted to this ended up only commenting on the visuals and then tip toeing around the rest. Now I’m questioning every reaction video they’ve ever done 😩

And yes they are all so crazy about the visuals than the music itself. I think that is what YG wants as well. So success for them. I was hopeful for this comeback a little to see what they prepared after 2 and half years. It was disappointing really. There are groups who work non-stop over the years but don't get as half as the views like this but blackpink had so much time to be creative but we get this. And the lyrics are cringy to me . They never write good lyrics. The same lyrics again and talking about the same thing.As an audience it's so underwhelming. They don't even try. It sounds like this song was made in a few days. No effort. The visuals cover everything if they just released the song without the video i don't think some people would be that impressed. I'm just stating my opinion here. @@sonicyouth9992 it depends on the reactor. I follow some reaction channels who make it very clear when they don’t like a song and give a full breakdown. Not all reaction channels are created equally, so it’s unfair to make over-generalizations about them. I honestly don’t watch very many of DT’s song reaction (I mostly just watch his livestreams/reactions to show episodes when I don’t want to watch them alone) and I wasn’t sure how he’d react.. I hadn’t seen enough of his range yet. And that’s why I’m now here commenting on his video. Obviously I stated it in a way that was overdramatic. But just in case my first comment made it seem otherwise- it definitely didn’t just dawn on me today that many reactors are disingenuous and ingratiating.

I really appreciate how he was honest, better than faking it. He also explains how he doesn’t rly like blackpink cuz their songs is not his taste etc, literally that’s so okayy as long as they don’t say negative comments about them. It makes it hard to trust reaction channels when they seem dishonest or ingratiating in even just one of their videos, and now I feel compelled to go back and rewatch their older videos to see if it’s time to unsubscribe. My comment is not going to cause him to question whether he liked the song or not. He knows what his initial impression was. But maybe he’ll end up being more mindful of speaking openly & not tip toeing around things.
