I feel like it rare to see these 3 together anymore but it’s because all of their growth as amazing human beings. I’m sure they still hang together off camera and keep in touch more than we know. BRCC should produce a chart for each coffee of the perfect brew. Water to grounds ratio by WEIGHT so there’s no math, and temperature for each coffee.

I stopped at the Kalispell brcc shop and that coffee is the best tasting I've ever had. I'm a truck driver and travel alot. There's a reason these guys are crushing the coffee game. Bummed they didn't find t-shirts in my size. You guys need to open a coffee shop in the Oilfield in North Dakota. Shops up here are bland. I order a hot mocha. Even in the summer ☀️

I stayed in Kalispell on family vacation stopped in every morning and got coffee for me and the wife and kids, got to hang with Andy for a few minutes, really cool shop, great people and the "Smokey Joe Latte" was the shit and legit!!!

A few years ago, Bastrop, TX had a similar situation. Over 60 mph winds caused power lines to touch and sparked a fire that initiall started in Bastrop State Park, but wound up burning something like 1700 homes to the ground.

My buddies in the Oregon national guard got deployed to Katrina response. They just got back from Iraq so they were still under orders. They were in a mortar platoon.

Camp stove coffee cooker in low heat can make the difference. Tricky filtering it, a nice start to an early morning. Proverbs 31:8-9 "Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute.Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy."

Mike, bring some of those sweet Fieldcraft Survival talks to New Mexico!!! We may be a Blue state, but there is a HUGE Red portion, namely anywhere out side of Albuquerque, Santa Fe and Las Cruces. A lot of us Dont have the ability to take time off and go out of state to learn, and others have the choice to train or to travel, but we cant afford to do both.

You can activate active duty military to assist in these situations. It falls under DSCA (defense support of civil authorities). Requires coordination with the state, federal, and DOD (along with a joint field office being stood up to execute)

I was in hawaii during hurricane Iniki in the early 90s and was active duty and was sent to Kauai with 1000s of other soldiers to support the crisis. there was no presidential influence. our commander at shofield barracks simply put us on a plane and sent us. i don't understand why the local bases haven't intervened.

US Army under very special circumstances has been used domestically Hydrants will not provide pressure when too many other sources are opened, how many pipes broke off and had water running at buildings burned down.

Do you think it would be a good idea to send a group of SF/Special forces guys to figure out a plan to help prevent and/or plan for evacuation for an another emergency like this? I know Special forces from any branch are designed to be problem solvers, so why not just say screw the government and who really doesn't care, and send some guys in to analyze the situation, talk with firefighters from different places and come up with a plan to help try and prevent the problem from happening again, and what to do if it does happen again. Just a thought but I think the Special Forces community if they got together could come up with a better plan than any other government agency.

About a year ago I had a very similar experience helping 2 people in a car accident, I was just hanging out after a job interview wnd went to cross the street to get a 2 liter from papa John's and the someone pulled out of the papa John when I was at the median and they pulled right in front of an on coming car, I had no choice but to turn withiut looking and run into oncoming traffic behind me since I could tell by the way they hit they were coming my way, I missed an oncoming car but maybe a foot and looked back and saw nothing but the white hood behind me and I don't know how I didn't get hit but both cars came to a stop and so did oncoming traffic, I took a split second and jumped as I high as I could because I was just happy to be alive and in the next second I was checking the person in the first car and jumping over the flower bed in the median the check the second... nobody else got out of their car or even asked if the people were okay, people were literally driving past me with maybe a foot to spar between me and their cars. I already knew the world was pretty messed up but that was definitely an eye opener.

Evan notes in crisis situations how survival increases with early effective decision making. Unsolved Mysteries has an episode on the Mar 2011 Japanese earthquake amd tsunami. Likely for legal reasons, they omit that an elementary school in Ishunamaki there lost 10 of 13 teachers and 78 of 108 students from drowning because they made poor decisions, following an outdated crisis evacuation plan. Those who survived violated school policy and fled to higher ground, forced from a hill to watch the others drown. Evan is right.

cant deploy active duty on us soil. The Posse Comitatus Act is a United States federal law (18 U.S.C. § 1385, original at 20 Stat. 152) signed on June 18, 1878, by President Rutherford B. Hayes which limits the powers of the federal government in the use of federal military personnel to enforce domestic policies within the United States. I actually think that glover was in the TX National Guard in order to circumvent this exact law.
