In my humble opinion .For the larvae its not a problem bec its also a source of protine but when they bicome fly and thats where the problem is.

I was under the impression that house flies wont lay with BSF because they know the BSF larvae will eat the fly larvae...

Not that far currently sir. I think biodesel prefered used the ither materials, let livestock use this as protein source, huge demand in this part

How do you maintain it dry? How do you control the water that comes from the waste material?

Good question. I’m trying coconut coir on the bottom of mine and they seem to love it and burrow in it when needing to pupae. The coir absorbs the waste water. I add water when it gets dry and seems to keep it from smelling so bad.
