I use a spud wrench, I carry it in a hammer loop. As a tool l can take it anywhere.

Are these durable enough to actually be used for self-defense? I have one of your walking sticks. It is a great walking stick, but I don't think it would survive a hard strike. I'd like something that would be up to the task of fending off coyotes, while walking the trails with my little dog; or protecting myself from the dangerous vagrants that inhabit the woods. Would these do the trick; or would I better served with a cudgel?
