Blade 230s swashplate motion with factory settings

This is the RTF version of the Blade 230s, which comes with the Spektrum DXe transmitter. Shown in the video is how the swashplate moves in all 3 flight modes; Stability (aka Normal), Agility (aka IU1 idleup1, aka stunt1), and 3D (aka IU2 idleup2, aka stunt2).
If your 230s swashplate does not function the same as shown in this video, most likely something is wrong with your transmitter settings.

Thanks for the nice, instructive, video. I'm about to go outside and fly mine for the first time. If I said that wasn't a little scared, I'd be lying. I'm definitely going to be in the slowest (I guess you could call it "beginner's mode"),

Well, just finished flying the 230s, one battery's worth of flight time. Up, down, left right, correct, correct, correct. Learned to make slight movement with the controller sticks. Never crashed, but did have some "accidental" touch and goes. Definitely, needs more skill to fly than my Parrot Anafi drone, but all in all, i'm happy. Got my battery on the charger and will fly again, later. It was just a little windy, but not a lot. I'm gonna develop some more skill at keeping a nice, controlled hover, before attempting to do a trim flight.

Thanks for showing. But I'm still looking for an answer to my question, which is: Pitch - does the 230s have the same travel for positive AND negative pitch? Mine doesn't and someone who's into helis told me my 230s V2 should have equal throws for pos/neg pitch (with the stick starting off at center position). Does yours?

Yes it works very well. I actually use the DXe for my align 470LT too

Hey, is it normal thath when I put my heli into mode 1 (agilty) it starts to fly from itself even without the throttle stick up.

Yes, that is normal with your throttle curve probably set at 85. Normally you would take off in stability and turn it to Idle Up 1 when you want to.

Great vid… questions, I just picked up a 230 and bound it to my DX6 G2 and downloaded the 230s setup from Spektrums website, in stability mode everything works as it should, when I move to stunt 1 or 2 it wants to Spool up on it own, without the hold set to on… is this normal?

yes that is normal, because in stunt mode it can be flow upsidedown. And the motor needs to stay running while in negative pitch to be able to do so.

Micha - yes, but make sure to have a little height when flipping it over, the rotation rates are a little slower in agility mode compared to 3d mode

Yes. The dual rates translate to bank angle when in safe mode. So increasing or decreasing the DR is how you would do that

Mine flys fine I don't know why people keep blaming how the heli handles on the tail ,,if it's drifting backwards ,,you need to trim it forward ,it you look at the 270 it has a 450 size tail on it

Yea because they unstick and you can crash it I almost crashed mine do to adding sticky weight to the front never ever do that he is right y’all move the battery as close to the fron as you can with out it hitting the body

Mine out box is DEAD LEVEL SERVO SETUP mode !! BUT soon come out servo setup mode to normal flight any mode … swashplate kicks way sideways to right … can’t figure out why … yes chopper is level ground … please anyone knows help lol
