With great regrets, I inform that the maestro had passed away in the 17th of May 2022. Rest in peace Evangelos O. Papathanssiou aka Vangelis. You will be missed and never forgotten.

@@Falzeee are you sure it's a set? I think it's Frank Loyd Wright's *Hollyhock House* in Vermont canyon, Los Angeles CA. A lot of Bladerunner was shot on location, such as the scenes in the Bradbury Building downtown. You could be right, but I get a sense, from the ambiance of it, the scale, and what i know about Ridley Scott, that this was shot on location. I used to be a gaffer in L.A.

RIP Joe Turkel (Dr Eldon Tyrell), July 15 1927 - June 27 2022, age 94. I’d read somewhere that he fashioned the glasses himself for the role, which Ridley Scott picked Turkel for after seeing him in “The Shining” (Lloyd the bartender).

I always thought that Tyrell shouldn't ask those questions. A genius who makes those androids would surely know how that machine works. A machine that should discover if there is an empathy response... The book is about that, empathy and the biggest changes between the book of Dick and the film are in that direction, empathy. Androids are not capable of empathy...in the book.
